This is like comparing a Lada Riva against an Audi Quattro RS. Both will get you from A to B. But, the Audi will keep on getting you there in grander style faster.
pointless. its like comparing a superbike with a scooter. the shadow is mainly a beginner gun and great for that, its cheap and great for small game. the weihrauch HW 97K is a great gun tho and im asuming you own both, got a feeling if so, the weihrauch HW 97K is your new and upgraded gun
the gamo shadow is in the same cat as the hw25 kids starter kit gamo are not very good from my point of veiw or is it a bought a bad one as it was shocking
@santeusebio46 u must be stupid to say that about gamo every gamo that has been bought hardly ever are they brought back to be repaired they are better than alot of people think. but i do admit weirauch is alot better. but so it should be for the price.
I don't know why this guy compares two guns, one being an Pretty good company whose rifle costs less than half the price of the other, while the other is from a (reputed) state of the art company whose rifle costs more than twice as much. It's like Honda Civic to Dodge Viper. It makes no sense guy.
lol, somehow i dont belive u, and so to summerize what your saying its the gun not the shooter, lol you will never win that argument in my back yard, youd have 2 prove it!
lol, i shoot asprin @ 40yrds, outside with a crossman storm xt, i shoot 22 brasses from 100 yrds! just shot a dragon fly @ around 60 yrds an hour ago! after 40 yrs. and hundreds of guns, its the shooter thats the important factor! went out 2 western ks and shot prarie dogs for a farmer, with a value priced 50 cal my longest shot was 1400 yrds. with a 6 knot head wind. and ive never fired that gun befor! so work on shooting asprin, then a .177 pelet for a target at 50 meters!
I puchased and installed the grtIII trigger and did some target shooting. Damn! it not the same gun, It's way better. I'm shooting the bullseyes bullseye evertime. Thanx for telling me about the GRTIII trigger.
they r great i have mine adjusted 2 a hair, i have 2 b carefull, not 2 bump it or it goes off! butt the faster trigger helps dampen the recoil and helps 2 stay on target, my latest shot is an egg @ 75 yrds. shot 3 times, if u clip the top of the egg, 80% of the shell remanis in tact, dump out the egg then set the shell back up. shoot again the pellet will leave a clean lil hole in and out, i save the shell wash it out and use 2 amaze people, i have 1 egg i shot 5 times, no top and 4 clean holes!
Comparing HW97K with Gamo Shadow it's like comparing a piece of gold with a piece of shit, where a piece of gold is HW97K. These two rifles can not be compared.
this video is nothing, no distance, no pellet name, no actual sound, no damage to the cans, NOTHING to compare, i have several gamo rifles and they are really good, years ago the gasket for the piston was made out of leather, and it was really easy to replace, we have an old gamo for maybe 25 years and we replace the leather ONCE, now is made out of plastic let see how long it will last.
dont forget that the 97 is nearly 3 times more expensive than the gamo. for the price gamo are excellent, weihrauch are superb but you pays for quality.
I have the gamo shadowmatic but i went to the store originally to buy an HW95. The guy didn't have one and tried to sell me a HW50 ffs. They are weak and overpriced.
if it were me, i would go for the TX200. they have lots more options. although the HW97 is world-class, the TX has more options and adjustments to make it everyone's gun. i mostly like that they have a left-handed version, as i am left-handed. i am limited to what Beeman/Weihrauch rifles i can get because only the Beeman R series rifles are truly ambidextrous, or at least have left-hand versions. Weihrauch rifles don't have left-hand versions, as far as i'm aware. i say go for the TX.
Yeah the most accurate airgun along with airarms tx200.... What a ripoff. As for 460 magnum. 1350 my ass, tested with JSB 8.4 just in the range of 950 - 1000. Between the two i would choose the 900 fps of hw97k but with much more accuracy than 460
What altitude are you? At sea level I have seen low 1000's with the 8.4 JSB and around 1100 with 7.9 Crosman Premiers. The 460 is easily capable of 1" groups at 50yds with Kodiak pellets. The 97 isn't much more accurate on average and makes about half as much FPE.
I prefer the HW77 (same as the 97 except for the stocks) over the 97 because of the included iron sites and sporting stock (more attractive IMO).
more fps is not better. hw97k is more accurate than 460, thats a fact. how much more i dont know but i know it ismore accurate. my hw97 is at 820 fps with 8.4 jsbs which is guaranteed to kill at 60 meters, it is an airgun i dont need more. but the excellent accurancy can come in handy as i know that where i turn my sights to the bullet is always going to hit the target.
It is not a fact. The 460 has about the same accuracy as the 46 and the 46 is easily in the same class of accuracy as a TX200 and the HW77/97 guns. The accuracy is so close in FACT that if you went and rounded up one of each multiple times and always with different individual guns you would almost always find a different winner with varying amounts of difference between the shot groups.
its close but no so accurate. and i can mention another flaw of 460's. The scope rails are a the worst yopu can find and the heavy recoil makes scope adjustments a very regular task plus it adds to the noise levels. i own a hw97k and the noise levels along with the recoil are almost zero. i agree 460 is a very nice gun.... i was between a 460 and a 97k but i think Weihrauch
has the edge in terms of quality and this can be seen by the behavioural characteristics of the gun in general.
That is why you just buy aftermarket scope mounts for RWS guns. A 1pc mount and a Leapers scope has proven to stay on zero while mounted to a 460 for 1500 shots and is still going. The 460 recoils but not as much as you would expect from a gun that can put out 22+ FPE in .22cal.
The 460 is close enough in accuracy to consistently kill at ANY ramge that the HW97 can and can kill larger animals at greater range because of the extra power.
Just curious, but why would you use an 8gr pellet in a 460? I have found that monster to shoot tighter and more consistent with heavy 10gr pellets and 9.3 RWS Supermag and 9.8gr Ram Jets were also good.
Weihrauch airguns are rip offs. RWS is also a german company and it has much better and stronger airguns. The most powerful is the 460 magnum which shoots .177 caliber pellets 1350fps. It costs $500
97k wins
