It's too cliche to say they would've never recorded after L.A. Woman. Jim left to Paris to avoid going to trial in Miami and take a vacation. The Doors would've experimented with straight up blues for at least two more albums because that was the direction Jim wanted to go in (when everyone else was heading into either funk or metal).
The documentary is great. Well edited and produced. My only quibble is the trailer that fails to capture the seminal quality of the album, The Doors, and now the doc.
Great documentary. I think The Doors might have had one more album in them, but would've depended on the outcome in the Florida trial and curbed his drinking. He prob. would have been directing and/or writing screenplays, and occasionally performing with the band. Few bands from that era lasted through the 70s intact, even Pink Floyd had to change their lineup.
Would love to see a making of GNR's "Appetite for Destruction" at some point.

I saw this last night at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and it was simply awesome. Krieger, Manzarek, and their manager and record label guy were in attendance and took questions afterwards. Only in Hollywood!
Man, I still don't have a vinyl Record player, but I don't care. I'm buying this edition in vynil and the dvd. I'll just treasure the album until I get a 2nd hand player.
I don't get it. Amazon says it will be available at January 24th, here is says that it's already released. The same is with the album itself. Could someone explain it to me?
@eaglerocktv I agree if you don't know them that well, but for hardcore fans it's just the same stories recycled. Good entertainment but also a bit cynical in my opinion, like the good old days where you had to buy yet another greatest hits album for one new song. This is the kind of thing that makes one want to illegally download
@contrafib Hi. I can understand your point, but we are in a really difficult position sometimes. We have to make films that interest people. We have made films that have been slagged off because only hardcore fans care about say, lengthy studio chat, and other people say "Why would I buy this - it's boring." Also, we have to tie a film in with something, however cynical that may seem. Otherwise we wouldn't get any press, wouldn't sell any DVDs, and it wouldn't get made at all.
this is simply amazing!!

JIM MORRISON = MR MOJO RISIN
JIMMORRISON = MRMOJORISIN
Re-arrange the letters in your name, and see what you come up with? Like in the board game Scrabble.
Jim did and that's when 'mr mojo risin' came to life! I'm gonna try it one day with my name, and see what I can come up with!
Most of all, is trying to get into the right state of mind. Like Jim's mind, but I know that's impossible.
