Great film. It's a must not only for the subject matter but also because it's a well-acted movie.

(The only problem is the incredibly fake toy tank scene that pops up later on.)

Great Italian WW2 Desert Movie! Robert Hosein is great as Rommel, Monty is almost identical! This movie ia a must have in any Desert War movie collection, as is DESERT BATTLES, also starring Robert Hosein as a German DAK Officer, both these movies (circa '68 & '69) are classic musts and premiers of the Golden era of Desert War Movies! HEIA SAFARI!

at El Alamein, between 25 October and 4 November, the 6000 lions of Folgore Division were under attack from 50 000 men three British divisions 44th (Home Counties) Infantry Division, 50th (Northumbrian) Infantry Division, 7th Armoured Division Desert Rats with 350 tanks, 250 armored, 1st and 2nd Free French and the Royal Hellenic Brigades, supported by RAF and 400 cannons of UK Artillery. After 11 days of battle British have failed to break through in the Italian sector. 200 men survived.

the film recounts the protagonists of el alamein. the paratroopers Italian Folgore Division.

(not soldiers at the beginning of the video.) the folgore paratroopers have or beyond every limit of human possibil resistance. and it is a true story. It has been made call "the folgore lions" by winston churcil.

and it was one of the best units of World War 2. It's them that the Italian soldier you did know..and earned the honor and respect.

Ma non si usa la testa e vedere che Il fascismo non ha prepaerato bene- aveva meno organizzazione dal lo stato Liberale in 1915, ha mandato soldati con scarpe di cartone a Russia, , non ha invaso Malta quando poteva, e stato sconfitto da Grecia, etc etc. HA FALLITO DA SUA CRITERIA

Well this movie is actualy pretty good. The guns are pretty much acurate, but the tanks aren't. Rommel and montgomery look awsome in this. I give this movie three out of four stars.
