@SexyMelon Yeah, for the 1-4 percent they work PERFECTLY. For the 99-96 percent of us it's life with no freedom. Basic Nazisim. It's what Hitler and Napolen tried to do, but failed. They tried by force, and the globalists are trying by intoxicating their public and making it out to be a good thing.
We need INDIVUDAL LIMITED REAL DEMOCRACY & LIMITED BUDGETARY CONTROL at National, State, County and sub-counter levels. Obviously I'm against GLOBAL-GOVERNMENT.
Corporate Globalisation is a double-edge sword who'se monopolistic attitudes can only lead to oppression by corruption. Whilst I admit globalisation is a quick fix, tempting fix for poor nations IT MUST BE LEGALLY TEMPORARY - IE. Once setup, mega-corps should be obliged to sell their foreign development to a national-company...
ultimately arguing the pros and cons of global free trade is academic because, if the predictions of energy descent we are facing (post-carbon institute et al) are even half true then it is simply not going to continue. a more accurate term to be dealing with here is 'economic growth' which is the project of unlimited expansion of economies- and globalising trade is a neccesary step for that project. to power this project requires oil- and that is what we don't have.
What a load of crap. When we bought local, we could tell whether it was produced through exploitation or not, whether it was organic or not, and we helped build a more sustainable society. Through rampant globalisation, half of our non-food goods are coming from China, under very different quality standards, labour standards, and environmental standards, meanwhile our own industries suffer. It's a boon for the investment bankers, and bad news for child labourers and redundant skills workers.
Parts of China are as rich as the poorer parts of Europe (like Bulgaria?). Wow, that's impressive! Like there were never any rich people in China before.
The trickle down effect? As Legrain would say "That's simply not true". The developing countries will end up just like the developed ones: most of the wealth will be concentrated in the hands of a few and the vast majority will remain poor. Just be an honest brutal capitalist, and stop pretending this is some utopia where everybody wins.
@shockadelicaustralia good point about China, however your argument points to an assumption that developed countries have it bad, with a vast majority of people being poor, which relatively speaking is NOT true (the US for instance has 12% under the poverty line, while Niger has 85% under the poverty line) Shouldn't countries like Niger strive to get poverty levels as low as possible, following a nation that has done so successfully?
Sure maybe there is a great concentration of capital in the hands of a few, but in developed nations at least the vast majority can actually live without fear of going hungry or finding adequate shelter. An educated supporter of globalization will not argue that change will happen over night (in today's society we expect everything to happen in an instant), nor will he/she find that we are aiming for a utopia.
I would like for one of these anti globalists to suggest a proper system which can be implemented to make the world a better place rather than simply complaining about the world we live in, which for a vast majority of people in developed nations is damn good. I agree our system of globalization is not perfect nor will it ever be, and that we should strive to improve it, but realize that it is damn better than it used to be under a system of brutal imperialist policies..
..which shamelessly milked the resources of colonies, giving nothing in return. In the US and Europe there are huge middle classes (which are rapidly growing in developing countries like China and India), made up of people who can provide all the basic necessities of living, and far surpassing levels of comfort in living that have never before been seen in history.
Globalisation is the new, passive form of Colonialsim.
Economic Imperialism is racing round 3r world countries because of globalisation. This is because there is a global free trade which means the strongest wins. This isn't wrong as long as countries with the same capacities can compete together. The same is with football, you don't see Man UTD playing against an amateur team. But you do see the US competing with Haiti.
NO GLOBALISATION without AMERICANIZATION, ASIANIZATION AND AFRICANIZATION
capitalism is not to be confused with globalism though they're two totally different things arent they. so i'm a capitalist but i'm completely against globalisation because it puts international affairs over that of national affairs.
this show is so biast, they take a lot of vague questions and get an unknown conservative to lambast them and reinforce mediated capitalism support. this isn't reporting, its biast opinion, typical hegemonic bbc reporting
Who the hell is this schoolboy who talks a load of right-wing propaganda bollocks! Capitalism is at it's worsed as its ever been! I can see right through him with his lies!
Well the trilateral commission's plan is to first establish the EU. Check. Now everything's in place for the NAU, the SPP is literally "harmonizing regulations" and getting everything ready for the crisis that will allow them to offer the NAU as the security and prosperity solution. Once they use the inland ports as an excuse to establish the common North American customs bureau, they move on to the next phase, the north american parliament and court. The Asian Union is set to follow after that.
The question is CAN YOU TRUST the people who are propping themselves and their buddies into leadership positions in the emerging world monopolization of gov't with the "SUBORDINATION" of your liberties?
What percentage of citizens are familiar with the SPP, the NACC and northcom?
Look at the Global Leadership Foundation: The GLF prefers to keep its members and projects SECRET, describing itself as a "virtual organisation", operating from a small secretariat office in London.
Meanwhile the Bush whitehouse SPP website props up a common globalist propaganda tool, a "myths and facts" page, which claims that the North American Forum in Banff, chaired by CFR comrade Schultz and attended by Admiral Keating of Northcom which now has military control over all of North America, has nothing to do with the SPP, which followed each and every recommendation of the CFR's independent task force on North America. LIES, STEALTH, misrepresentation...so trust us with your liberties...
CNN(of TIME WARNER in whom Goldman Sachs invests heavily and whose CEO Richard Parsons had a house on the Rockefeller estate/is adivsory trustee of the Rockefellers brothers fund) broadcasted a LIE by the DOT that no plans for a nafta superhighway exist WHILE nascocorridor's NAIPN ports, kcsmartport, laredo, winnipeg and other inland ports ALREADY received FEDERAL approval to act as customs ports. The "myths and facts" page at nasco corridor denies this at the top and confirms it at the bottom.
These inland ports are now being set up throughout North America. If you google "dual bilateralism" you can see Robert Pastor, The SPP archictect, has some further plans for North America. The "credible institutions" such as the "north american commission" and "common security perimeter" have already taken the form of the NACC and Northcom. The next step is a "common customs and immigration bureau" and these inland ports will allow that to happen quickly.
Okay so allan is the interviewer and philippe is the one spewing the corporo-fascist propaganda. The description of this vid indicates the opposite.
Philippe is former director of policy for the pro-European pressure group, Britain in Europe. At the WTO he served Trilateral Commission member Michael Kenneth Moore.
The IMF only helps countries that agree to adopt policies mandated by the U.S. gov't and ONLY the U.S. gov't (which is of course controlled by Bilderberg and the CFR who also control the EU, the world bank, IMF & WTO) who hold VETO power. Just looking at Peter Sutherland, who chairs British Petroleum AND the trilateral Commission AND goldman sachs tells the whole story.
The guy being interviewed here is either very evil or very stupid and has earned himself a background check.
I couldn't find any evidence of him being an actual spook, although like NWO mouthpiece steve liesman he served in Moscow in the 90's.
It is possible that even though he always gets assigned to the hotspots like Yugoslavia and Baghdad, he is actaully just a journalist and nothing more. Perhaps he really is just an idiot.
Allan's not the one being interviewed. My bad. No wonder he checked out ok. I was mislead by the description in this video and backgrounded the wrong guy. how embarrasing.
And goldman sachs of course is playing a key role in helping CCCE member leonard asper MONOPOLIZE all of Canada's corporate media, as well as backing U.S. CFR members financially in political races.
Goldman sachs also nominated Philippe here for a book award for doing so much to help further the Rothschilds' agenda and misrepresent predatory globalists as benign.
How about if we give every man woman and child a million dollars if they sign themselves and all future generations into literal slavery/100% taxation to the NWO which puts itself in place using lies, stealth and press blackouts.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely, sure, and subordinating the constitution and bill of rights to a corporo-fascist bilderberg/rothschild/cfr cabal is madness, yeah, but centralization/monopolization of gov't will be worth it for a MILLION bucks, right? what'ya say?
the downside to globalisation? the downside is that alot of powerhouse world leaders wanna control the world under THEIR control by controlling trade, the economy, laws and international affiars whilst using them to intervine directly into the public own business!!
its not so much world leaders but the multinational conglomorate corporations which are actually wealthier and more powerful than third world countries; they are the power hungry forces. the governments of poorer countries are overruled by the restructuring of their economies by the WTO to transfer the profits made to paying back their debts, stopping the money going into public services. the tax rates are reduced for the huge corporations, making the country poorer.
It's amazing that this guy is on TV. South Korea got rich because it *protected* its markets and industry. The free trade is very recent. One would have thought he would know this. I don't think we can take Legrain very seriously - hough I daresay he will accidentally speak sense from time to time.
the philippines enjoyed 16% economic growth this year due to FDI and more than 200K maids working in hongkong taking billions of dollars all due to the good things of globalization.
this is selective choice of facts. If you want to talk about these nations, you also need to look at the Phillipines and Saipan, economies which have been destroyed by free trade.
what is known as free trade usually means highly subsidised by govenments a the expense of the taxpayer. People need to get real and realise that both these people - the interviewer and dthe interviewee are both propogandists. Why doesn't the interviewer pull the guy up on his inaccurate analysis of south koreas economic miracle. South korea was highly favoured by the us as part of it's post war recovery. That is the main factor in it's prosperity not some vague notion of 'free trade'.
From Amnesty 2006. Basic rights of migrant workers appeared to be strengthened after the Employment Permit System Act came into effect in August 2004. However, migrant workers continued to face widespread discrimination in wages and in access to justice. Many worked in dangerous conditions, were not paid regularly or did not receive severance pay. In December, there were over 200,000 undocumented migrant workers liable to immediate detention pending deportation.

When the EU army is up and running and Muslim Turkey have joined the EU...the EU's military will be bigger than that of the US !
By then,Russia,Syria and Iran will be on the EU's borders.
I am sure that the (un-elected) EU President and Council will then tell us which country our children should die in.
