@TheABLTZ Come buy mine! haha... I LOVE it, best sounding tube amp I've ever owned. It's a typical heavy amp with big transformers but it gets every kind of sound a real guitar player needs and PLENTY of volume. I'm trying to find something smaller but I'm a little scared I won't be able to find another amp for less than 500 bucks that sounds as good. Been looking at getting a Peavey Bandit....
@yinyangthang It's a Carvin brand Maple neck with an Ebony fingerboard and good size fat frets. I love it. I bought it with the paddle headstock and cut out the reverse "Strat" shape
@nylonsteel I'm not sure what he would "prefer" but my guitar has 500k pots because of the Humbucker in the bridge. Most single coil guitars I believe have 250k
May 22, 11.. I just installed The True Coil 6.0 in the Neck and a 5.5 int the middle. I use a Dimarzio Area 61 in the Bridge. The Guitar is a White Callaham Strat Body-Alder and the Neck is one of the early Mexi Vintage type Maple Necks, not a crazy contour but an awesome neck. All elec is amer- Pots are 250 k.. I amd totally blown away, happy and surprized. The TC/GFS-PU's are worth the money. The guy in this video has great touch and tone. It really helps, when someone like this guy, can play.
To compensate for volume did you ever raise the pickup until it matches the middle and is balanced from low to high stings? I am very interested in this pickup, as it sounds like a single coil, a nice one at that. -PK
Have you already tried the 12k bridge true coil pickup from gfs? Are they noiseless like the fender? Answering to your question: yes, i trust you. So please, what's the really difference between a fender single coil and the 6k gfs pickup you have got in your guitar? thanks for the reply!
@michelesettimo The GFS True Coil is noiseless because it is built like a humbucker. it has a reverse wound "dummy" coil on the bottom to kill the hum. The second coil is very underwound so it doesn't color the sound too much and it still retains the nice warm quacky Strat sound. This is the first GFS pickup I have ever tried. I like the sound of it, but it's much quieter output-wise than my mid pickup so I'm going to have to get a 7k or a 10k. Regular Fender Single coils are just that -
@ryanintopeka (continued) only one coil. The only time a Fender Single coil guitar cancels hum is when the middle position is "reverse wound" and the guitar is the the 2 or 4 position (bridge and mid, or neck and mid). The whole point of the GFS True Coil series is to be essentially noiseless - and they are.
one question: is it the true coil really noiseless..in the video i hear some hiss that i really don't like. Would you do another video with the volume and the tone open with no playing? just to hear the real silence..i'm thinking about buying them but i can't find a video that shows only the silence of the pickup. Thanks for the rewiev. bye!!!
@michelesettimo I think the hiss you're hearing is coming from the camera. Also, my reverb channel hisses horribly. Would you trust me if I just tried it and reported back to you? Seems easier than uploading another video, and I ssure you i can tell the difference.
If you're going to buy the set, buy one of the hotter ones. The 6k I put in there is still quieter than the 4.3k in the middle position. Unless you like Super quiet pups, which some people do.
Came back to hear this amp!!!

Good review--great playing. Is that a rosewood or ebony fingerboard?

Sounds great. I would try them.
I have had good luck with most GFS pickups. The Classic II humbucker is excellent.
