I hate this company the dont give a shit about anyone but themselves Ill never consider them. Wanna be M. A.C but youre fake. I asked i even emailed twice for a small donation of a few of your brushes. Us wives mostly just have each other and to share small moments of appreciation. Will my husband come home or even call. I asked them if they could do this for us military wives butm but if youre not worth making them money then theyll get makeup sent for free. and are paid to reviewTHERE COMPANY
i liked ur review more than i did Tiffanyd's cause she gets paid to do the review on it. i thought it was ur honest review and now i'm thinking to get these brushes, thx u much
@MacNymph You obviously have no idea what I am talking about I'm talking about the STEALING of ideas. It's one thing to make brushes I have nothing against Coastal Scents, NARS, etc. I'm not saying only buy MAC brushes but what Sigma did is fucking disgusting, and I am speaking up about not supporting this company, because I'm allowed to, just like you have the right to purchase those brushes. If Sigma were to brand there brushes according to their OWN ideas I would have no problem.
In all honesty, I was too excited to wash them before using them. I was in SUCH a hurry to try them out lol. Gross, but whatever. They smelled fine when I got them, unlike the sometimes chemically smell some brushes have when you first get them. Plus they were all packaged in plastic so I'm sure they were sanitary. I definitely wash brushes that touch any cream or liquid products imediately after using them to avoid bacteria growth. Powder brushes I'll wash at least once or twice a week.
@MakeupbyKimPorter You're right economically it's a great option, but as a company they should stand behind their own products and develop there own branding instead of stealing ideas from MAC.
I'm ethically opposed to Sigma Makeup any company that takes a established companies products and shamelessly COPIES them to earn a quick buck does not deserve my money. MAC deserves respect for being the TRUE developer of these amazing brushes. What if I were to take NARS products, make them exactly the same but say call them SSOrgasm or SSLaguna and sold them for less? Of course people would want to buy them, but would be wrong? Absolutely.
Maybe I should create a company call ribbonsigmamakeup and name the brushes ribbonSS187, ribbonSS217 and sold them even less than Sigma? Would I make money, hec yeah..would I do it? Hell no, because I know it's WRONG. By the way nothing against you, our society is based on capitalism and the last thing we think of as consumers are ethics.
I disagree with your stance to be honest. Take Generic drugs for example. They are the EXACT.. and I mean exact compounds and names, just branded differently. Nobody has a problem with this because it's a cheaper alternative, and many a time it's not the initial pharma company that sets out to make the generics. It didn't take a rocket scientist to create a numbering system for the brushes, and there were similar brushes out there even before mac was created in the 80's
@ginabinawina99 that's exactly my point they are branded differently, they don't call they're products SSTylenol or say if it's Kleenex they don't take the Kleenex name they just call it TIssue Paper...like I said I don't have an issue with Costal Scents, Nars, Estee Lauder, I realize MAC did not invent brushes, but they did develop a specific formula that I believe they have the right too
I don't think you understand. The point is that those drugs are called the same on the label. Ibuprofen is Ibuprofen. it HAS to legally be placed on the label. I'm not just talking OTC drugs, I'm talking about drugs that no longer have a patent on them. IE: Bupropion is Wellbutrin.
Companies have been doing this for ages. This is a BRUSH, not a highly innovated product people. Like I said, it didn't take a physicist to create the concept of 100,200,300.. wow I mom I can count!
BTW, I also say this in that most cases the quality is just as good, if not almost. I'm not saying skimp on quality. I own a sterns and foster and a herman miller. There is NO knockoff of them because it COSTS money to create real quality.
In the end, it's the consumer who decides what's ethical by how they purchase. Like the old saying "the customer is always right" and if Sigma's ethics were so wrong they wouldn't be in business.
@ginabinawina99 What you're trying to say is Brush is called Brush. Sigma is not saying this brush is actually a keychain because yeah that would illegal. But "187" is very specific to the brand!!! Your confusing branding with the actually product, these are separate entities. For example it's called Tylenol Ibuprofen but then brands create idk Walgreens Ibuprofen, but Walgreens would not create WTylenol Ibuprofen with the same packaging for ethical reasons.
Actually, even lets say Safeway has a knockoff of Cetaphil, It'll even say "compare to Cetaphil".. It SAYS it on the bottle LOL! Would you prefer them say Sigma stippling brush and then state "Compare to MAC 187" in the circle? Then would you be ok with that?
@ginabinawina99 exactly if Sigma noted in their product description that this brush is comparable to 187 that would be ethically correct, actually Enkore Makeup and Coastal Scents does it, but to simply take 187 and use it as their own is wrong. Safeway would not just label their produce Safeway Cetaphil...Sorry I'm an Ethic Society and Law, and an Equity Studies major so you can see why this kind of stuff bothers me. Sigma's website does not mention MAC AT ALL. No credit. It sucks.
@ginabinawina99 But I have a feeling that eventually once their batches are done Sigma will remove the 187, 217 etc...and simply call their products Sigma's Stippling Brush, or Sigma's Blending Brush and in their product description say comparable to MAC 187 and 217 etc. Well in my ideal world lol.
@ginabinawina99 To me it's like buying fake Nike shoes, except the Nike sign is upside down, if you can't afford the Nike shoes just purchase shoes from Payless, you don't need to go to the Flea Market to buy knockoffs.

i guess makeupbykimporter is right - i could never spend that much money on one brush so sigma is a good alternative for me.
i mean, why does mac sell their brushes that expensive if they could do it for the same prizes like sigma? sigma works...
i like the sigma brushes. thank u for reviewing :) sorry for my grammar ;)

The brushes are great. AS for it being ethically wrong... this is a great option for people who are not able to spend $30-$50 on ONE brush!
Great video. don't forget to subscribe to my channel thanks
