'the coke' didn't do anything to Liam's vocals. the change has been a direct result of singing live for almost twenty years in a manner that is not techincally correct. the stance, the shouting, the booze mid-performance... it all adds up. rock & roll is not about longevity though, it's about giving it all in that moment and liam has done that for millions of people. so, rest assured that 'the coke' did fuck all to harm liam's voice. oasis forever.

i didn't like his singing pre 1994, at least his voice deepened and his singing improved. by 98 his voice couldn't handle tours that well anymore but amazing for one off performances. sounded raspy after 2001 it seemed like he couldn't sing.

his voice for vocal performances for standing on the shoulder of giants wouldn't have been right for his voice in its early years.

@andy0mara it wasn't the coke specifically, but obviously the anesthetic effects of the alcohol and all the drugs played a huge factor in it, it allowed him to shout that much harder without really being able to feel the damage he was doing to his vocal cords like he would've otherwise. coke might be particularly numbing.
