@MadeleinePhillips666 I don't think there was a 2010 Europeans AA. The commentator was stating how Ferrari used to do a double-double, then said she has downgraded it to a single twisting double.

These commentators are really unprofessional even i could do a better commentary.

Marine Petit and Youna Dufournet are not juniors because Marine made the cut for the olympics and Youna placed 3rd at worlds. They really don't know what there saying. But the youth olympics commentators where worse. :-[

these commentators are awful. they say some of the stupidest things. for example, ferrari's floor music is amazing, why would she ever get rid of it? you dont scrap an amazing routing just because you get injured. honestly, i hate these guys. they are almost as bad as nbc's elfie and tim

I think it's weird that they said Ferrari's got a "fuller figure". It's one thing to say she's grown a bit but fuller figure? That's kind of creepy and not entirely appropriate.

not in that context it's not. they just mean that her bodytype changed, and going through puberty in gymnastics is a big deal, you sometimes have to change your while style. i agree that the phrasing was random, but it wasn't creepy.

Wow, Agreed on Semenova's growth - hope she doesn't have the same sort of issues as she grows that Liukin did. She is older though, so will hopefully adjust easier to the growth :)

Illja3: It might be to do with only counting 8 skills now and a lot of little wobbles etc? Hope someone else has a better assessment for you.

Thanks for posting this. It's nice to watch gymnastics and not want to punch the commentators in the mouth when they say something (Tim, Elphi, and Al). It's also nice to see a variety of gymnasts.

I can't stand the overhead camera angles on FX. There's no point. Plus, it is disorienting and makes me a little dizzy. Not that one can tell the difference. ;o) Overhead makes sense on VT to show whether they're in-bounds; it makes sense on BB to show alignment. It just looks weird for FX.

I'm surprised by Semenova's problems on bars, she might not defend her title on the uneven bars at the event finals.

As for the substitution in favour of Asfanasyeva, I think that's risky Asfanasyeva is very inconsistent... for the vids I saw of qualifications she fell on floor and twice on beam if I'm not mistaken....

I hate the practice of substituting an athlete who ranks below a teammate. Very unfair and I will never get used to it.

Semenova has a nice bar routine except for grotesque handstands. So archy!

Thank you for the update. If this is so then I am sorry if I mispoke. Initial reports were that she had been substituted just because her teammate was deemed to have better chances at the AA.
