  • @TheFishman88 Good point retard.

  • nice fish :)

  • carp are a huge sport fish now a days, there tournaments are getting to be bigger then bass tournaments. and the pay outs are huge. i make alot of money tournament fishing for carp. they put up a great fight no matter what size. i love carp fishing, but dont get me wrong im a cat guy to but carp is alot funner and takes alot more technique then cat fishing.

  • wtf yal fishing for carp for? i do almost never and if i am its bc i like using huge hunks of they're meat for latenight flathead bait. carp meat and scaled live bluegills seem to work best in ohio.

  • omg buy some shoes!

  • If you want to catch nice carps, corn and carpfiesta is perfect for you!

  • Nice carps! But WE, Plazas have more experience that you! You should use CarpFiesta like us!

    Come on fishes!

  • if u want the bigger ones put out a lot of groundbait and big boilies and cast out about 5 metres away from that...use sweetcorn or luncheon meat

  • @keeperdude1 its not live bait u idiot , when have u ever known a common or mirror carp eating live fish , he will be using boilies of some sort.

  • What kind of pole did you use, and where did you get it?

  • How would I fish with corn and can you find boilies at most stores?

  • Bigger baits or multiple bait 'greedy pig' rigs

  • For bigger carp you can fish 1 rod away from the baited area - more quite en more likely to atract the bigger fish. you can also try real big baits like 50 mm boilies on a long hair (min also 50 mm), although this is no garantee to hook just big fish.

Try bait up with loads of spod mix (hemp, mixed granes, peas, beans). When fish crush this, the sound can be heard al long way, atracting big fish as well. This effect is much less with just boilies.

Try those 3 hints together and who knows?

  • Live bait! To catch carp. I'm a roach man but even I know that you don't use live bait for catching carp

  • what is that you set your poles on? i cant seem to find it online.

  • @alexlisabb they are called rod pods and are the norm here in europe

  • what baits did you use to catch these stunning fish

  • Great catches i fish on the hudson river in new york and the biggest one i cought was 23 lb you look like you got some really huge ones there whats the biggest one?

  • @romaniankidify I don't weigh them, but I think the biggest one out this river is that buffalo on this video: Couple Of Screamers And A Double

  • Great catches i fish on the hudson river in new york and the biggest one i cought was 23 lb you look like you got some really huge ones there whats the biggest one?

  • 5.14 great run

  • i like your choice of foot wear ;)

  • Nice !!!

How to catch biger carps in river?

I think you should try fishing at night - usually then it is quietly. Big carps are very careful.

Catching so much small carps you don't gave a chance biger ones even to try your boilles. From my experience THE BIG ONES seeks foods on they own - so you should try maybe biger boiles or change the bait for more natural flavour like "fish", "squid" etc.

  • what kind of bait do you use? i haven't caught carp at all. maybe you can give a tip..

  • @riverpeya I use boilies (different flavors), on a hair rig.

  • @carpangler89 I use corn alot and hook them on those 1/4 plastic worm hooks. Yes, they bite those too. Anyways, I usually caught the ones like yours in the vid but I need to know what line test you used because I used a 12lb and Im never comfortable with that. so my other question is, will they bite on heavy and braided lines?

  • @dookiekong007 I use 10lb, 12lb. I did use braid before and I have cought fish on it so they will bite but a havier line is not needed in my opinion. 12lb or 15lb tops is going to be just fine.

  • @riverpeya i dont know where you are from but i know that maggots seem to be a very good bait for eny fish and maby sweetcorn also spam but you can buy bait that is basically made for carp hope this was helpfull

  • great video on carp fishing

  • What are you doing? Whay are you not taking home that damn fish and turn them into fish gulash? Is it legal to eat carp in US? Americans say it tastes like .... but they just dont know how to do it...

  • what bait where you using

  • Those all looked delicious

  • You got some really nice wild carp there, in America! If you want bigger fish, try bigger baits. Even PING-PONG BALL SIZE! Maybe it's the approach that don't get you big ones. What do you put in your boilies? How much do you feed them?

  • I use 18mm vanilla and scopex boilies purchased from Europe, and I feed them with vanilla mix with crushed up boilies. If I get a chance I prebait with that mix, and I put in about 2 pounds per rod sometimes more. I also put in a great amount in the morning ,and I constantly cast some bait out after I catch a fish. Yea I have tried 2 18mm boilies (bigger bait) on a hair but no luck yet. I also bought some 20mm tutti frutti boilies but I havent had the chance to try them out yet.

  • Try making your own boilies. You don't need anything fancy. If I catch a lot on cheap homemades on commercial lakes, you'll be destroying them on unfished waters like this. The point is to pre-bait a lot for a few days in order to make larger specimens stay at your spot. Once they're there, you'll catch them even on small baits! If you can't find any cheap recipes on the net, contact me, I'll help. P.S. Where are you from, you're not from the States? You speak familiar language to mine...

    CHEERS

  • Yea I know that I need to prebait more but that swim is like 3 hours from where i live and work gets in the way so I dont have that much time to prebait. Yea about the boilies if you dont mind sharing one of your recipes, that would be good, thanks in advance. Oh and I am originaly from Bulgaria, so the language is Bulgarian

    Cheers

  • Looks like you didn't get my previous message... How can I e-mail you to give you some advice on bait and tactics?

    cheers!

  • if u rock the fish it goes in easyier but other than that u got a good setup

  • what make is the rod pod looks decent

  • I got it from Bulgaria this summer, it 's make is FilStar. It is really good as demonstrated in the videos.

  • how mutch lbs got the rods??

  • @Carplover1 2.75

  • Great job lads! and what gorgeous looking river too!

  • You seem to be doing fine mate, like your man say's,for the bigger fish come off the baited patch a bit but try a bigger bait, maybe 2 18mm baits or even bigger..!!

  • Bunch of nice fish there man...good bit of video.

As far as how to get the big ones..chances are they are there, watching and cruising outside of the area where the main action is taking place. You could always try setting a single rod up, cast away from the rest with a different bait and see if any of the loner fish will seek it out, feeling it is safe.

For instance, if your using all boilies, try one rod with garbonzo beans off to the side where no other rods are and see what happens.

  • Thanks man ill definetly try it!

  • some great carp there mate and a very nice rod set up too.
