Looks an extremely complex system. Was it effective in trials? I heard it was never used in anger but showed lots of promise in testing.

I was with REME stationed here early 60s. The place was Ty-Croes, Trials Establishment Guided Weapons Royal Artillery. Plenty of fun, and at least one that went into the Rhosneigr beach...

I worked on this from 63-65 we launched ours from Tycrios on Anglesea N WAles,
and from 69-75 worked on the phase 2 which was launched from Abaporth S Wales
it was always spectacular at launch. but was a lot of hard work to prepare.
