  • boas their a little more relaxed as long as u give them alot of attention

  • my boa bit me a lot ouch

  • python

  • pythons are more tame and have more color morphs pythons are alot cooler

  • @COBRA2K12 i have seen pythons mainly retics and burmese be as mean as an anaconda and the red tail/constrictor morphs along with sand boa morphs have been sky rocketing

  • sweet info, thanks mann

  • I wanna say python as I have a ball python and she is just amazing with her personality and calmness but just today i got a 7foot 40pound female red tail boa.. so my answer may end up changing soon enough !! any tips for a new boa owner ??

  • I VOTE FOR python ive had boas and they always turn on me and my pythons are super nice

  • I have a female boa about 3ft long and I also find them less aggressive than the python

  • BOASSS

  • boa/abduction

  • !!Both!!

  • i think both are beauty animals.... and are bads pets ehhhh!!!! (as the fishes loool)

if you wanna a pet, try a hamster or some animal that dont have to pass ilegaly and dont destroy they habitat, dont you have a wild animales as pet!!!!!!!

  • Pythons for me :D

  • I have had both boas and pythons and i would have to say boas are my prefered choice due to the fact that they not mean natured. Also i like it that boas dont tend to grow as fast.

  • You are subconsciously a cock worshipper...

  • you are subconsciously a tool...fuck off.

  • my favorite boa is the red tail, my favorite python is a blood.

  • @ReptileGarry96 what kind of python is a blood i never heard of that?

  • Pythons

  • python

  • its so hard to decide though they are uniqe in theyre ways i couldnt choose between the idea of witch one to get so igot both

but between the diferent morphs i could choose the albino boa to the albino python etc

  • pythons

  • pythons r wat got me into snakes but i love all snakes if i had to pick i wud have to say boas

  • I like Both.But probley Boa's

  • I am a boa man...

I have had a python before, and right now at the moment I have a boa. my boa is a far more agressive eater than any other snake I have ever seen, and its one of the coolest snakes I have ever seen ( its a brazillian rainbow boa0

  • I have one of each. I've got a ball pythons and red tail boa. I love em both really. My python is a lot more friendly and active though. None the less, I still love my little guys!

  • Python

  • python.

  • Boa's

  • pythons

  • pythons

  • pythons get my vote

  • Neither is better than the other - both are beautiful snakes

  • I would have to go with boas even though i dont own one red tail boas r the best snake in my opinion

  • i got one they are great i also have 2 ball pythons but i do favor my red tail he is one of my youngest but biggest already 4 feet long only like 1 year and a 1/5 and i am not power feeding

  • That's a reaaaallly tough choice. I own a few of both. In my experience, pythons (that are pets) are calmer and a little slower overall than boas. And boas tend to be very active and curious. Although I have a female bp who acts more like a boa. Lol.

I'm going with boas on this one because it's awesome that they give live birth :)

  • i have a boa female, i don't know much of the facts but boa look nice, i like there skinny body and big head. what is more likely to bite you would you say? i had my boa and she bit me but it was my fault cause i put dead mouse in and she went for me, my boas 12 months.

  • Ummm... it really just depends on the individual snake. I don't think that on type of snake is more likely to bite you that another. It depends on how much they are used to your presence and being handled by you.

And I've almost been tagged by one of my boas the same way... they have reeeaally strong feeding responses!! lol

  • hey hey, just to update, since my last comment i've acquired 2 more snakes, a male Wamena Greentree python, and also a female Lavender Albino Reticulated python. this brings the total to 6 pythons and 1 boa.

  • Pythons

  • i donno i like pythons but i go with boas as a fav.

  • which one is larger

  • That depends on if you are talking about an Anaconda or a Sand Boa, or if you are talking about a Reticulated Python or a Ball Python. Both Boa's and Python have small and large.

  • BUT WHERE U GET ALL THESE SNAKES FROM

  • I order my snakes online. As far as in the wild goes, the ones I just named are from Africa and Asia.

  • It depends on the species. Out of the three largest snake species, two are pythons (Burmese and reticulated pythons) and one is a boa (green Anaconda). But they also have very small varieties like sand boas and ball pythons. Either way, they are overall very strong constrictors.

  • I'd go with pythons too. I have both a python and a boa (ball python, dumeril's boa). I love my ball python, but my boa isn't that nice. She'll let me hold her, but she get aggrivated sometimes.

  • ill go wid the king cobra! ahaha.. far out!!

  • i defenatly wold have to go with pythons to, there are alot of cool species of pyhton, but then again boas are very cool to. expesually the sand boa. but i think pythons have alot more cool looking spieces such as any kind of tree python, defenatly the woma. and there are alot more that i like, one kind of snake that i htink is boring as hell is the ball python though. i use to love them but now i htink they are so boring. i think they would be better if there were more colors to em :)

  • Well there are many morphs of the ball python, not just the regular colors. I found 2 vids on youtube that show pictures of most of the ball python morphs. Just look up "Ball Python Morphs" and you'll find it.

  • What age would you start feeding ball Pythons live Food??

because my snake has gotten pretty big

  • I would not switch them onto live food if they are already on frozen.

  • I just got a baby ball python. What should I feed her that it's not live? Can I chop pieces of chicken and feed her or do they need to be mice and rats ?

  • Appropriate sized mice/rats only.

  • i prefer boas since ive never had a python, but i will probably get myself a python in the future =D Farteraway420, youve seen my snake, what do you think about getting a python as well?

  • I think any snake owner should have at least one in their collection.

  • okay, i think that i wil get myself either a boa constrictor or a mojave ball python =D good idea?

  • Go with the Mojave :o)

  • both can get pretty mean boas are nice to look at pythons are just python if it was up to me I'll pick pythons thought i always been a python guy plus pythons are bigger

  • PYTHONS!!!!!!!!

  • pythons easy... look up the emerald python. if u still say boa's you cannot be swayed from the dark side ;) that said im not against boas as i love snakes full stop but i think pythons are my weapon of choice in this debate...

  • eew! thats a hard one they both have there advantages i mean sunglow and sand boas are cool and pythons are cool like bumrs retics and trees ok i have made my decision its boa

  • awesome video thanks i love sand boas but want thats awesome head of a ball python but not the size whats a good breed for pythons i like the red tail and ball so far uits really all i have seen in person...

  • What size snake are you looking for? Ball Pythons only grow to 4 feet usually.

  • k well thanks i just got a ball python hes awesome.... i dont know where to get live fuzzies tho

  • Your best bet is to convert him to f/t. It's easier on your wallet, plus You wont have to worry about picking them up EVERY week.

  • i prefer pythons

  • Paleontologists found a 45 foot snake's skeleton recently. I forget where.

  • i would have to say the boa.

  • I prefer ball pythons (I have one), but I think a burmese when it is about 6ft long is absolutely gorgeous!

  • i would say pythons

  • pppppyyyyytttthhhooooonnnnsss

  • i prefer pythons but not any python i prefer the ball python (royal) because of the cool morphs you can get.

  • boas i have 2 boas at d min n i have had loads ov pythons n d only snakes tht has bit me was a carpet python n a burm.

  • no a rattle snake is a hot or a pit viper as some people prefer

  • No. I believe a rattlesnake is in what they call the "hots" catagory. A "hot" snake usually means venomous. They are closely related to vipers.

  • i love both snakes but really have to pick would be pythons!

  • I like pythons over boas but i like sunglow boas alot

  • i am going to have to agree with AmericanIron08, every snake i have been bitten by has been pythons, i still love them but my boa hasnt show any signs of biting or even wanting to bite me.i am siding with the boas.

  • METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In my experience, I've never been bitten by a boa. All the times I've been bitten were by Pythons, Carpets, Bloods, Trees. It just seems that Pythons have a tendency to be very moody. The Coumbian Red Tail is the coolest tempered snake I've ever handled. I work at an exotic pet store, I handle different snakes everyday. The Blood Pythons are all around mean snakes, never have I come across one that hasn't bitten me. Either way, good choices.

  • THANK YOU I AGREE

  • i would have to say i'm more for pythons. as of right now, i have 2 ball pythons(Hope & Mizzfortune), 2 burmese pythons(Malice & Envy), and 1 red tail columbian boa(Rage). i love all five of them equally, but i will say my pythons show more personality than my boa. as far as length/size of the snakes, my burms will definately become a bit more to handle than my boa, and in a shorter amount of time(roughly within the next 15 months).

  • Comment removed

  • my ball python is the sweatest thing and has no teeth and he has never mated. he is four years old could i mate him at this age?

  • At four years, certainly. I would just recommend first that you weigh him making sure he weighs over 1000 grams. But at 4 years that should be a piece of cake.

  • I would have to say Ball Pythons!! Because I personally believe they have more morphs than Boa Constrictors. Pythons are way easier to handle when they get big, in the other hand boas grow up to 7-12 feet. But to me both are sorta equal...right now I have 4 pythons and 4 boa constrictors, all different morphs. As long as you know what you are doing it really dont matter what snake you have! Everything is almost the same just a lil differences...

  • metallica *-*

  • i agree i love my ball python and i just got a boa and it has brought nothing but trouble so far mites, mold, u name it. but the python i have had for about a year and i have had no problems hes great!

  • Boas come from us?

  • only captive breed

  • I got a Python today.

  • power to the pythons they rock

  • Both. I've only got pythons (and colubrid) but I'd really love to get a boa. More specifically, a Hog Island Boa or atleast one of the Island boas.

  • ive got 7 ball pythons, an albino cornsnake, and a red tailed boa and by far the ball pythons are my favorite.

  • I've got a Ball Python and a Burmese python and they are great pets. I handle both of them constantly. I love how big the heads get on the Boas though and their girth. Obviously I am partial to the Pythons. Great question and thanks for the facts FartherAway420!!!

  • knowing what i know now and if i had to get 1 for the first time, id go with a Jungle Carpet Python like my snake Domine. Hes definately my funnest snake but not my favorite. Great Vid, sory bout the double post.

    jake

  • BOTH!!!! ***** Vid!

  • Pythons. I still like some Boas but Pythons are better by far.

  • Pythons

  • red-tail boas......especially the suriname and guyana red-tails!

  • PYTHONS!!

  • tough call... I'm gonna say python

  • not a clue about snakes, but wen i went to steve irwins zoo in australia, i held an avarage size python and it weighed a tone.. i bet there strong as hell

  • I have ball pythons and red tail boas. I also have an atb. I have always had a thing for rtb's, but I really do like my bp's. I would say I prefer boas a little more, but not much more. Like you said, why just get one species, get both.

  • I like boas but I prefer pythons.

  • i like boas better but only because they have live babies and by the way i dont know jack shit about snakes tho.

  • I would say Boa's because i love amazon tree boas and emerald tree boas but there is alot of pythons i like ( green tree , blood ect )

  • boa are more calm(at least my boas)

  • green anacondas are my favorite!!

  • Anaconda's are a type of boa. So Boas?

  • you didn't meantion that pythons git bugger and boas have needle sharp teeth

  • Generally pythons are bigger than boas, but remember, Anacondas are boa's too and they get pretty big.

  • I met long the worlds longest snake is the reticulated python and i bet you already now that, and i had no clue anacondas are boas.

  • i love them both but i think boas!
