To learn about gait, a good place to start would be a book by Lee Ziegler called Easy Gaited Horses. Once you go gaited, you'll never go back!!!! It may take some time, but once you figure it out a light will go on and you'll be so glad you tried. The temperament of a gaited horse cannot be beat either. I think their "wiring", that gives them the ability to gait - and their unique conformation attributes perhaps, goes hand in hand with a docile, people loving nature - unless they are abused of

I LOVE  this breed! Could someone please explain to me their gait though? I do not quite understand it....
