  • Lol this video is just.. so american. What's the point by opening fire against a mountain which is 3 kilometres away?! With a carbine!! You cant hit shit! The guy with the helmetcam doesnt even know what he's shooting at on the start! None of them know

  • @Anonymus0809 if one of them fires and the bullet hits within 10 meters of the one of guys shooting at them he will get some cover, if he is behind cover he isnt shooting at them which is one less gun to worry about

  • @Anonymus0809 Its called suppressive fire, this is where rounds hit the area's around the enemy forcing them to stop firing and take cover...and judging by the brief cease fire, it worked.

  • @Anonymus0809 Check it out everyone...we have an expert here!!! Anonymus in all his combat experience only needs a youtube video to instruct trained troops on how to conduct a firefight! Thank god we have him here!!

  • @Anonymus0809 oh lookie here....another fucken faggot who thinks he know's what he is tlkin about...any fucken person who gets shot at will face were the shooting is coming from and fire in every fucken direction till they find out....so shut the fuck up u fucken trooll...u dumb unclefuck...btw...i support americans...and i am canadian....and i will love to fight beside the americans...

  • @Anonymus0809

if this was world war 2 these people would have died there and then, but its not their fault they're in this...its a phoney war

  • I'm not from the USA, but I've got a fucking big respect for these guys, risking their life for the "greater good", facing the face of death every day. Without these guys, the Taliban would have burst the shit out of us :D

  • Thats a very confident infantryman. What a great soldier.

  • Thats an intense game of paintball , JOKES , good job men!

  • Imagine slipping on ice like at 0:32, and then trying to fire your rifle. That dude must have been in some pain and it didn't even phase him

    Fucking right.

  • Jeezus. His head seems like, 10 feet off the ground. I don't know if its the lens angle or what.

But this is crazy. I've played games, and I go to a school where I seem to be the only guy who thinks that you guys got balls of steel.

I do have one questions, and don't take this the wrong way, but can you actually see the guys you're shooting at?

  • gets fucking cold up there doesnt it

  • @usnavyseals99 napalm bombs is hot

  • no those were goats.

  • hey gyus i got a question:...this troups walk throug the mountains ...and they have not weapons with range...what about one sniper in each group? wouldn´t it a big advantage against the enemy?

  • ya it would but it also requires one extra trained man in each squad it thee sniper would also have to be pretty rugged to cover moutain terrain with a heavy sniper riffel and ammo

  • what does firefight mean? Just gunfire?

  • A firefight is basically a battle, but not prolonged. I think it also means small battles within a battle. it's any time two groups are shooting guns at each other

  • Haha Taliban sucks big fat dick.

  • @jfhgksdhjfdks lol "I killer americans before"

    lol learn to aim.

  • It Snows In Afghan?! cause i never thought it would snow there

  • Yeah, it's pretty mountainous.

  • @aig15 They are in the mountains. They're pretty high up, so yeah, I believe the mountains are usually covered in snow there.

  • squad leader did a great job keeping his squad calm and great job directing the suppressing fire

  • shooting at an unseen enemy attacking from behind you on bad ground. a lot different than a fucking video game isn't it...

  • holy shit, TONS of respect for these guys

  • @Putaspellonyou

And no aimbots. But feel what ya saying

  • fuck the taliban they cant shoot for shit they just spray all over the place and lose controle of there gun and drop it shoot them selfs and other taliban and lol im an idiot... nah but they got no heart the shoot run and hide behined ieds

  • Do the Marines still have LRPs?

  • why do they need sissors?

  • One guy either was hit and they need sissors to cut the shirt around the wound to get to it or somthing was tied up and could not get it untied. But they thought somone was hit, which wasnt the case. lol

  • @frageater16

So they can cut the part of clothes off if they cant access the wound...

  • @AmericanFighter1212 yeah it would be pretty weird if u got shot in the leg and had to take your pants off lol

  • they wanted to have a chop to calm there nerves

  • how do you even see the enemy or are you just random shooting?

  • Its called supression fire...u supress the enemy so they get their heads down so ur buddies can get behind cover, thats what he did at the beginning..this is the Army i'm in the Marines our tatics are diffrent after that lol

  • haha at school we have to do a speech about somethin every year and im doin mine on da marines history and operations

  • LOL!! I think they saw one guy. He got away. Now they are, like fools, shooting at shadows. :-D

  • @severedmonkey8 They pour suppressing fire onto a position they think the enemy may be until they can get support or a proper visual...once that happens...well we know who always wins battles.

  • the guy with the camera is the leader?

  • sgt.

  • yea u are right, we getting slaughtered in those hills and mts, thats why obama is sending 30k troops over there bc of the terrain getting us killed

  • they will never win they do not know the terrible terrain and they are cumbersome.

  • God bless you all. Mikey/PA 1stArmored23rdEng Veteran of the Boznia Campaign.

  • *hands him scissors"

    "here, fix him"

  • good shit, was that in Nuristan Province? If your still there kill haj and keep your heads low.

  • Kind of looks like Kunar Province....Possibly Chawkay Valley or Korengal Valley. If so which I believe it is. It is on the Northeastern edge right on the Paki border, Near Asadabad, Ghardez, Blessing, and about 25 miles from Jalabad.

  • ND Army National Guard would do the job.

  • shit dude....

  • 4 more years for me man, I'm either for Rangers or EOD.

  • @FernandezCemany last time i checked the US was kicking your stupid towl head asses. your probably 12 years old. shut the fuck up.

  • they need dead silence thats why they got shot at in the begining

  • hahaha best comment ever!

or at least some UAV jammer

  • Comment removed

  • easch patrol should have a sniper and good powerful scoped rifle.

it will save the lead for closer combat.

  • 0:36 The guy got owned LOL

  • you know what makes me sick.

when mother fuckers disrespect the men that are getting shot at to protect their fucking freedom, and yet they still show no respect.

    Keep up the fight marines

  • Army bro not marines

  • sorry

I'll just say support the troop :)

    haha

  • @politicalanomaly bro, this is army not marines.

  • taliban will never let them back to thier countries untill they all die.........HQ

  • Are right or left handed ?

  • wow life as a marine looks hard

  • ye its hard but in this video are no marines, army

  • army

  • Does your squad carry 60mm mortars? Would they have come in handy in this firefight? Any of the squad members carrying the M110? Thanks. Keep up the good fight.

  • Also if you notice everytime u hear loud cracks, they are followed by distant booms. That is because the insurgents are at a distance and when a round comes near you, you can hear the pop as it breaks the sound barrier. The loud cracks are the enemy's bullets going past the soldiers and then you can hear the sound of the insurgents guns after.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, those army boys love us. You should've seen them when we dropped a bomb on a building, makes you proud. SSgt. USAF

  • Hooah!!!!

  • what divisions this, you guys look good

  • They are not losing the war, but in some way they are losing some support, more people in the states, and over here in the U.K. need to show thier support more, instead of wondering about what it's all about.

  • I love you guys.

  • Damn. You guys held up pretty well. You gained fire superiority early but you cant give it up even for a second. You guys kicked ass stay safe.

  • i think we have kicked them camel jockeys arses enough. Its time to pull the boys out

  • Comment removed

  • Thats true but looks like the stalemate is going to continue for another 7 years, if not more . If the guy they are looking for isn't dead. He deffinately isnt in Afganistan anymore he was a lot of things but he wasn't stupid

  • if you kicked the "camel jockeys" arses long enough, why do they control over 75% of the country?

  • as real as it gets u can practically feel the stress just watching. Keep ya head up you guys are doing great

    from Canada

  • What unit are these guys in?

  • I'm british and I can think of nothing better then to have America by our side, keep up the good work boys dotn listen to the haters!!

  • I heard a US general say yesterday that if the US doesn't send more troops to Afghanistan it will lose the war. Every war that has been fought there has been lost, even back when the British were very strong in the 1800s, and then the Russians in the 80's...why is that ? I'm not trying to be a smartass, it's just weird. There is a saying that Afghanistan is the graveyard of empires....and a lot of people.

  • It's because it's always been viewed as not worth fighting for. There's not much there...yet a lot of trouble can be made from there, as we've all seen.

  • Thenw hy have all the armies that ever invaded Afghanistan gone there ? Each one had different reasons, but all failed. This is the Britsh armies third or fourth time trying to take and hold Afghanistan.

  • Because, like I said, banditos and terrorists have often operated out of there, causing problems in nearby parts of the world (India, for the British), or, in the jet age, they can orchestrate a terrorist attack on Manhattan from there.

It's not that the empires WANT the land or its resources so much as it is they need to hold it to put down the groups of people that cause them trouble. That's part of the problem.

  • Part of the problem is, I think, that Afghanistan, or certain tribes of people there, have what you could call a "warrior culture." Most of us consider war a necessary evil, that should only be undertaken with an important cause or goal in mind. When we don't meet that goal easily, or when our reasons for fighting become confused or unclear, we decide it's not worth fighting and we quit. Even the British empire and the Russians (who were tougher politically than we are today) gave up and left.

  • It's not that our soldiers are weaker than the British or the Soviets, but that we're weaker at home politically. Weaker willed, I'd say.

Even so, the British and Russians had some cause they were fighting for.

The Afghans do it because that's what they do, and that's an important advantage for them.

Also, I have no idea what you mean by "secret deals with Muqtada Sadr in Baghdad," and I'm pretty sure you don't either, and even if you do know this, it has nothing to do with Afghanistan.

  • Anyway, I realize that I'm just an armchair historian and that what I'm saying about Afghanistan is just a theory (though I'm pretty sure I'm right). Maybe if there are some guys reading this who have been over there, they can either back me up or correct me if I'm wrong.

One thing I'm sure about though: The State Dept., Pentagon, Obama White House, etc. (basically all the technocrats), have no idea what we're doing or how to achieve victory.

  • Somebody left a comment saying that the British left Basra in a state and made deals with warlords there, like the Americans did in Sadr city. Which I guess wasn't so secret. That's what I was referring to.

Most generals believe this to be a losing fight for the US and the British, I don't think you can put both down to political weakness at home. How many countries are in ISAF ? It's not just politics that's causing a losing war, it's military strategy failing.

  • It's the political attitude at home that drives the strategy in the first place.

Most nations that are part of the ISAF do not have their forces in active combat roles (again, because the political will at home in those countries is even shakier than it is in the US and UK).

  • Most generals believe this to be a losing fight? Not quite. Generals all say that if they are underfunded and undersupplied, then they'll lose for sure. Even if they are adequately supplied, it's still iffy. But I wouldn't say that it's a losing fight. It's just the rich powerful politicians that are wussing out in their support of the military because they don't want to alienate the anti-war left. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, whether we think we can or not, either way, we're right.

  • this video proves that some people are born leaders and some arnet. This man is a born leader.

  • good reaction from the nco here, white-3 it sounds like. he id's the area contact is coming from, tells the guys, makes sure they are reacting to contact (seeking cover, 360 degree security, and returning fire) and then calls it in on the net using what sounds like an artillery TRP. then id's casualties and begins resupply when needed (getting extra 7.62 from his backpack).

  • afghanistan is home to some of the highest mountain ranges in the world... you might expect there to be snow there?

  • Comment removed

  • ... -_-

  • Yeah, there's lots of it there, especially in the north.

  • Yep it's a very mountanious country

  • respect for this guys . God Bless you .

  • you can't measure bravery, especially people who have never been in a firefight you can't measure bravery. Anyone who serves and does their time in combat knows what it's all about, shit just unfolds. everyone is brave for just being there. it's heroes who sometimes give their life or body to help others.

do the time and get in combat or shut the fuck up. no one is stopping you from going to the local recruiting station wherever you live in the world.

  • hahaha fucking goats

  • If you consider a nation by itself as a breeding ground of bravery then you are severely mistaken and naive.

Personally, I believe the French Foreign Legion are the bravest military unit in the world.

"In combat : you will act without relish of your tasks, or hatred ; you will respect the vanquished enemy and will never abandon neither your wounded nor your dead, nor will you under any circumstances surrender your arms."

  • the french are gay dude come on...

  • obviously you dont know anything about the french foreign legion. Do a bit of research before you start sounding naive again...

  • Stupid.... US army cowrads!!!

  • way to spell the word cowards dumbass.. and dont even try to talk about the US military
