Yes I know that not all ships had radio, but one ship did and could have saved almost everyone! Titanic's distress rockets were seen, but it was believed to be fireworks for a party and the ship's sinking appeared to be the ship sailing over the horizon. A truly unfortunate tragedy, and it's good to know the disaster has taught us so much about safety at sea.

The true story of RMS Titanic was not reflected in Cameron's film! A Night To Remember was far closer to the truth - it appears Americans wanted people they knew in the film ( I wonder why!)
