  • Simon is a god of goa trance

  • i like the news reporter the beginning of the video

  • acid music forever

  • Sweet

  • goa trance is the second appeared style of trance after the original classic trance in the late 80s. goa trance is a hybrid of classic trance, acid house, psychedelic rock, ebm and indian music

  • POPO KATI VLHMATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! exoun xapakwsei!

  • What a pretentious load of old shite - get some Acid techno or HardTek into you for Christ's sake.

  • This is amazing. I was born in 1991 and remember my mum getting into this stuff - now I'm lovin it all again and wish I was able to walk into HMV and buy Goa CDs.

My generation is the lamest ever, I genuinely respect all the guys in this film who made awesome tracks in their 20s. Nowadays people my age can't do anything vaguely original. Even though I was around in the 90s I would give anything to have lived through that decade the age I am now

  • @playcake Wow, you haven't been to many innovative club nights recently have you? Dance music is in a place right now where it's more exciting than ever. The counter reaction to brostep is giving us so much incredible music right now. Check out stuff on Night slugs, 502 recordings, Hot flush, R&S, Hessle Audio, Hemlock and Hyperdub if you want to be part of our generation's dance scene. It is fucking incredible.

  • The 1990's were so optimistic and cool.

I miss that period very much.

  • its goign to take sometime in order for it to be commercial

i say we wait till 2012

the day we transofrm into our fourth density state of mind

  • its still underground, keep it that way! :D

  • that was hilarious

psy-trance becoming commercial (unless you count infected) sounds a bit silly to my ears

  • @jimmytalent89 i don't want it to be commercial, but all those dj have to gain something to eat. that's why most of the open airs are with psy, this is the only way for them to gain money.

there aren't so much places where you can buy actually cd's - some websites and thats all, in virgin when i say do you have Protoculture or whatever psy-artist they are looking me like i'm a alien.

  • ist 1994/1995 if simon had 23 then

  • That guy looked so blitzed when he was saying that he he told people not to drugs at the party and they listened to him .

  • nice video : )if you want to hear some modern goa trance and psytrance ,ambient you can check out my page and have a listen, have a great day : )namaste, love

  • MARS NEEDS WOMEN! Awesome track, Doof, I think. This was the begining of the goa trance movement! Love it!

  • "males .. needs .. women boom boom boom"

    ;)

  • Panjaea's Focul point club-night is where it all started in 1992 - on the kings road in london-it was a global sound back then-not just a london commercial

sound .TIP were the pioneers with their very small parties in London .The people who were there in the audience know the truth of -it .

Its gained a mass apeal-which is great-but its lost that alternative united nations GOA-sound .

  • 95..

  • correctos... I was fortunate enough to go to the launch party of The Chakra Journey in march 1996, so this must have been late 1995 sometime...

  • definetly shot in 96 - 97

  • Stakker, how do you know it's 1996/7?

  • They say Simon Posford is 23 at the time, so if his facebook biography is right (born 1971) then it should be 1994 or 1995.

They also mention a Radio One DJ who is preparing a Goa CD. This must be Danny Rampling so this must be pre 1996 or 1995.

They play a couple of tracks from the Tip Orange compilation so I would guess it's from 1995±1.

  • is it complete? seems like not finished.. would be AWESOME to have a HD version of this... when was it aired originally ??

  • hey....i unfortunately have no idea, this clip was originally upped by someone else, but youtube took it down, so I re-upped it.

  • rave's a fun as hell. Outdoor rave's are the best though. With Bonfires and forests and or beaches.

  • the tune at 2:30 is conflict by green nuns of the revolution

  • Indeed!! Huge thanx mate!!

  • F.O. MoRoN.

  • AnD mAyBe YoU sHoUlD sToP tYpInG lIkE a DuMbAsS - no one cares about your opinion if you don't like it.

  • What's the track starting at 2:29?

  • Loving the chat with the promoter who suggests people aren't taking drugs, and then 30 seconds later we hear from a girl in the queue who is clearly tripping balls. Her eyes are rolling. 'Boingy-Boingy'!

  • It's not BBC, it's Channel 4.

It's not the early 90s, its about 1996/7

  • Uh - stupid of me not to figure the 4. Actually I had dled the original off Youtube which said "BBC early 90s", that was removed by Youtube so I reuploaded it :)

  • hehe, no worries. It's a cool clip!

  • Comment removed

  • It's certainly worth pointing out that when they show the shop's trance/techno section there aren't actually any goa trance cds there I can spot.

Mystic force yes though lol. HMV has however often had a lot of psy/goa cds in even now... I mean hell I can go down to the local shopping center and pick up one of the 5 psy cds they usually have in.

  • What's the track at 2:15?

  • Doof - Mars Needs Women (96 Mix)

  • lol,

    this is jokes.

I love how he says djs

  • nice
