Yeah never never really fought when Meredith was there. Joy wold only fight with Star from time to time about I dont know what. Rosie started these topics. I remember that Lisa ling also wanted to talk about important topics and they would allow that , thats why she left the show because she was tired of talking about boring girly topics. I mean it was peaceful and happy back then but it was boring I have to say. I barely watched it.
It was an interesting comment...it came off..wrong. It sounded like she was the sole reason the show had improved. She's probably right, but it just came off wrong. But I think this goes to one of the problems with Rosie. It ended up being her show: Rosie and the other View girls. I think she took over the show, perhaps not deliberately. It's probably just her personality. But I even remember she said one time, when going to an ad break, "we'll be right back with Rosie and the Girls"...
I think this is the point of difference bwn her and Whoopi. It's more communal with Whoopi. There's a great synergy between the girls. They work well together. And Whoopi doesn't take over the show with her opinions. The other co-hosts aren't a subset to her agenda. She's also interested in what they have to say, as well as giving her own opinion, and she acts how a moderator should act, unlike Rosie, who just kinda stampeded over everyone.
And who cares about the emmys. They gave Tyra & Judge Cristina (over Judge Judy) an award. Need I say more? Bill O'Reilly is also a moron. I don't think I need to explain more.
I believe that ABC didn't allow for political/social topics on the view until the suits realized that political arguing can lead to profits/ratings. the split screen fight says it all. The studio loved it much to the expense of american citizens.
I understand what you're saying, but she also took a dig at herself, saying how "loud" she was & how she hated hearing that "loud" person on youtube until she realized it was her... lol.
It wasn't the most tactful comment, but I think she was trying to pump the panel up for the emmys because the show was more popular than ever. She was trying to attribute that to the current discussion & not solely to herself, although it's easy to misinterpret it, like the "US troops=terrorists" comment.

Its good Rosie left. It was so uncomfortable watching them together. Everyday was controversial. It was always about her. Now its great on the view.

i love rosie, but when she says "u never talked about real issues before me," i cringed.
I mean it's true, but she wonders why the staff/co-hosts who had been there for 10 years before hand didn't like her...
