I agree Paul should have ended up with Isobel (or Lexie), not with a complete stranger. But believing what IMDb tells me, Lahbib couldn't continue because of pregnancy... Very sad, because the story line between the two was obviously not finished when Paul ran after Isobel. And Lexie leaving Archie, could have been a bit too much of unhappiness for that poor McDonald ;-)
It was nice coming across this video, very well put together. I really liked Simone Lahbib in this show. It showed a different side to her and it was good to see her smile a lot more unlike in her other roles where she comes across a lot more serious. Loved the quirky characters, funny and heart warming moments in Monarch.
Once Lexie and Archie were gone, the only thing that kept me interested in the show was Paul and Isobel. And then when Isobel disappeared, there was really no point...

Thank you for a very well done video. You captured the connection between Paul and Isobel. Having the clips of them all together like this rather than separate like they are n the individual episodes brings out their chemistry. So does the music. (btw, I liked the song so much i just bought it on cd, thanks). I think this is the only Paul/Isobel video on YOu Tube, so we fans appreciate it.
I enjoyed the first 6 seasons of MotG, but I don't think I'll be able to watch 7. The great Simone/Isobel should've ended up with Paul as lady of the manor. Still, I always thought they were going to bring Lexie back, divorced from Archie finally, to marry Paul. They went one major cast change too far and the series just faded away apparently.

Exactly. I don't see why they even sign on to do a show if they're all just gonna leave half way through. Surely they must have known they'd be away for months at a time. Although, you can't really help leaving if your pregnant...like Katrina too. But all this "I miss my family" stuff is silly. Lol
I've read that se wanted to be pregnant for a while (she is in the 40s, so it isn't that simple than) and were very suprised with it. She didn't know it, when se was beginning the serie and think she couldn't get any children. Wait, I will get the article, you can read for yourself ;)
Ah well. I'm quite glad she left. Means that the way was clear for Iona. You really should watch the rest of the last series. Once you get over her annoying voice, Iona's great. :)

Lol I know. With me, it got to the point where I was writing down all the episodes that something cute happens between them in so that I didn't miss anything out. It kinda ruins the show doing that coz you always know whats coming. Nothing surprises you anymore :( lol
