I don't understand the negative comments on here. This is a very good and clear tutorial of saving videos on Camtasia Studio 5...

In fact I can honestly say if I didn't already know how to save on Camtasia this would've helped me enourmously!

yo, my camtasia studio isnt working :/ it gives error reports nd stuff but i can screen capture and then extract the AVI file.

Then I edit it with Sony Vegas 7, I save it in full screen but in youtube, it changes the dimensions and makes black lines on the side *squashing it*

how can I fix this?

I would strongly recommend .MOV as .WMV are usually alot bigger and .MOV is alot clearer

Also its essiantial (sp?) you have Key Frame Rate set at 15

Also its worth getting Divx version 6.2 for your settings

I have a problem... after I saved the video I was doing, I placed it on the timeline on Camtasia but when I played it, it kept going to the end and it won't show me the video. Then I tried Producing it as .wmv and then opened it, but it still won't work.

i try to add a video using camtasia and the the file is under camproj and its saying that the file isnt right because youtube doesnt like camproj file, please help

Save the Camtasia file as AVI and open the AVI file on Windows Movie Maker

I use MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 11 to edit but I just edited that tutorial on Camtasia Studio 5

Hey Monkeybulb1RS,

You go to Zoom-Pan to Zoom in and out.

To get rid of the green square go to

Tools -> Options -> Zoom -> Untick the

"Apply Zoom-N-Pan Hints" that should work.

I do not know what that error is, try recording the same video and save as a .AVI Format

Make sure you have saved your recording as a .AVI format or WMM will not recognize the file and neither will Sony Vegas. Once you have done that you can drag the avi file to WMM or Sony Vegas to start editing with

Yes save a recording using your screen capture software (Camtasia Studio 5 or Camstudio - recommended) open the AVI file in Sony Vegas and you can edit the clips on Sony Vegas

Yeh you can put the zoom-n-pan on camtasia and then you save it on there as a windows media streaming format. Then go to WMM and do your editing

( Your video though will have been edited with zoom-n-pan)
