yes, it is a garbage dock and uses barges to remove your garbage instead of landfills which are a big waste of valuable real estate :)

i made it a very good city without mods. then i didn't play for about 2 months. then i started again and i made it awesome.

i guess i really don't know how to explain it. my other cities never turn out this good no matter how hard i try, so i just keep adding to this one. I wish i could transport this city to the bigger lots :)

Traffic has to be terrible in this city!

There is a very extensive subway system, bus system and EI train system. The traffic congestion is only green and some orange.

It's actually how you use your roads. As you can see, this person has put some one way roads, roads, and aenvues meaning he does know what to do. I beleive the traffic is alright.

hey, I know that this is off-topic, but whenever I try to make a dock (any ocean-type building, actually) my roads never connect into it, even when I line it up. does anyone know how to solve this?

sounds like a glitch. The seaports don't need direct road connections like the ferry terminals, just run a road around it, but you probably know about that.

Try not to build cities too fast. If you build them slower, they tend to turn out better. also, do not but industry in your city, decreases desireability. also, use subways. They are efficient and out of the way.

also, try to have one central location for offices. it looks better if there is one defined location for offices. they grow better that way too.
