the way this is done is weird, i have my knee strapped like this but the knee cap isn't pushed across, the skin on the side is pulled up so that when your finished, the tension of the skin pulling tight pulls the knee cap across.
this is done at 0 ext . I do it in the open packed pos of 30 flexion. I avoid mobing the PF in this position. All mobs should be done in or near the open packed pos whicj for the PF in 25-45 flexion
How does one determined which, if any muscle is weak and causing the pain? I´ve heard that PFPS is a result of a weak VMO, but is it possible the pain can come from a weak vastus lateralis?
The pain is caused by bad positioning of the patella which may be displaced medially or laterally. the most common is it to move laterally due to various factors such as angle increases, a weakness of the VM, malformation of the trochlea or patella, pes planus, among others. however, the patella may also be displaced medially and impacted the medial trochlear and causing the pain, but this is clearly less frequent.
@sethgabi just honestly rest your knee, keep it in a brace, no streneous excersize or anything
i wouldnt listen to this and to force me to rest and isolate my knee my doctor put me in a full leg cast lol. It worked but i lost alot of mass on my leg so just rest it to avoid something serious

is the for patella tedonitis

@kema702 not necessarily, can be due to a tight iliotibial band + / - muscle weakness (vastus medials oblique)

Hi!Do you have a tape technique to minimize pain in osgood-schlatter syndrome?
sethgabi 2 years ago
The treatment for osgood schlatter is to rest. So there is no tape technique.
