The motor is long gone, see videos for latest projects...and no i dont run fuses and no it wouldn't have made an scrap of difference, the motor is over heated from running up many hills at low speed not from over volting it or pumping to much current through it on this occasion.
would be a cop magnet...i have a build in progress now (outrunner electric) that would piss all over your 8hp briggs and strattoon LoL...ICE motors on bicycles = fail IMHO too big too heavy too slow... when you can get 0-40mph in under 5 seconds on the Briggs and Stratton we can talk till then electric FTW :-P :-P :-P
Yes buddy i think that might be the right course of action, i could add the other MY1020 and use them both but their size makes it difficult to fit in the trike frame...Brushless outrunners here i come :-)

One of those 8hp Briggs electric motors be hoot on that trike. Out run some cops with one of them bad boys!
