LG Shine AT&T Review

I've had this phone for about 2 1/2 years now. The only problem I have had since almost the beginning is that the phone sometimes restarts on me when I plug the charger in to the phone. Other than that, it's been great. Took a while to get used to the joystick.

tough phone but antenna reception problems may occur within a year or 2 and joystick not very durable. but mine withstood being washed accidentally and only lost 1 buttons functionality

I love the texting on it - t9 + buttons.

I literally out type 80% of the people i know (With smart phones + Key pad phones)

Mine has been through

Falling out of pocket hundreds of times. (Slight damage)

In a river for 4 minutes. (no damage)

In another river for a minute or so. (no damage)

In a fire for about 15 seconds (Burn damage)

It's pictures are great.

Only issue now i need a new one and they are trying to fuck me on the new 1.

i recently got this phone, well just yesterday, and i switched to Next G when i got it, i'm on the one cent text offer, so i can send one hundred one cent texts a day and the rest are twenty five cents. i had only sent 47 messages when i got a message saying that my bonus pack balance was zero, then my messages were twenty five cents... can anyone explain this to me? And can i change it at all so i'm always on one cent text like i was before?

it looks cool, but i think it sucks. the keypad doesn't work well and the 'mirror' gets scratched so easily.

Well I ahve the Lg Shine the 1 in the video and it is wonderful! I am a 13 yr old girl thats a cluts and i drop my phone like no2morrow. It has never broke on me b4. I have dropped it n the water 3 times. It spazs out 4 a while but u out it in a sock and then place it in the drier and it is perfectly fine. I love this phone. It has great volume, an awesome screen, great camera view, words that u can read well.

i have this phone and i recommend it to ppl who have small fingers like me! you will get tierd of the phone in about 2 days and this is only my 3rd day having it.i love taking pictures on this phone its very clear the only problemis that thare is no zoom. you get XM radio on this phone for one day then u have 2 buy it.the battery is very good mine hasnt gotten 2 1 bar yet so im pretty happy. so on and so fourth this is a pretty good phone if your into it!!

***DANGER***MY wife bought the first version of the shine. The blue tooth in the phones never worked right from LG.The phone company""Telus Five STAR in AIRDRIE" would not honor any warrenty so we had to shell out $400 to get a new

phone. Bluetooth connects you to other things so no head set or computer pairing.... do not buy this thing ask for a blue tooth demo.

actually you can put ringtones as message tones, you just have to change something about it, and use glasses cloth to fix the scratches

well u can record music but you can also get a micro SD card for like 15 bucks and put songs on that way, idk much about the sony ericsson but i heard that the keys fall off and not very many places are selling anyway. (i have a shine)

this guy knows nothing about cellphones!if he did he would know that in europe they are making new versions of the LG Shine and they dont atract finger prints although they still are metal!they put kind of a synthetic but really thin cover(to be unnoticed)so that the prints dont smuge the cellphone i've got one and this version has a scroll key instead of a joystick!

the joystick gets really annoying, fingerprint magnet, scratches easily, i personally find it hard to see in the light, sometimes it is really slow. who knows maybe its just my phone but i am planning on changing it soon :(

mine broke. thers a little gray whitish thing hidden in the sliding area that i think gives the sliding friction and i couldnt close it and then it just broke so its pointing up keeping me from closing my phone :( any suggestions?

the plam centro is a smart phone i believe, and the lg shine isnt...if you are looking for style and high durability then go for the shine, but it isnt a smart phone....if you need a smart phone then the centro is the way to go

Phones awesome, I've had it for about 2 months now. Works really well. Only bad thing is...txting. HORRIBLE when it comes to txting, buttons are too small and too close to each other and plus, the keypad it self is a WHOLE one piece itself and divided only by small rubber ridges. I had the LG VX8700 (metallic flip phone, razorish) the keypad on that was one piece too but the buttons felt like it was cutted out so it felt good when txting, but this... its a great phone but when it comes to txting

SHINE. the duo sucks i just sold mine on Ebay it is not work the money. even though you get a rebate if you buy the package, in the end you pay back the original price for the phone just from paying for the monthly package.
