Of course this boy has still to learn much (he's young!) and the piece could be more accurate BUT he's good and he has already understood how to play violin! Very positive! Go on so ... and remember, be always "relaxed" at playing even with the right elbow (a bit too high).

Again, much better than Heifetz - he lacks musicality. The only thing I would consider good from him is that Vitali Chaccone for violin + organ.

Heifetz also manages to distort seemingly simple rhythms in this piece, which I simply don't get why.

Yes, I have to do agree with you but in everybody has personal looking to music. I like Heifetz's playing. This polonaise, he did better than all, each sound has meaning, how he change sound, how he control his bow, his vibrato, passion...

Heifetz has a perfect tecnique but it's a little "dry" i mean he plays it too fast some phrases are just flat and i think some passion ins missing in this romantic polonaise, well this is my humble point of view

he is really good -- i wouldn't tell a pole what tempo to take his polonaise -- i believe they have THE polonaise tempo that all polonaises follow (correct me if im wrong)

I'm no expert, but it seems to me that you have an exellently controled bowing and are very expressive. In my opinion, it was played very musically and that is often better than getting all the notes right. Great job!
