If you are installing all my mods you will see much effect like bengala smoke more realistic damage texture periscope up and down in te command room ,room machine ecc.

desga, I'm really impressed. Looking into your mod makes me courious of modding SH3 for myself. Some years ago I modded some Star Trek games just for myself but those things weren't as complicated as SH3.

I'd really like to dig in in some guides and tutorials for modding SH3 xD

When I've got more freetime I definetly will try to edit the italian flag with one of mine, not the ol' german one ;) and I will as well pay subsim a visit.

I made a fresh install without the two addons =( (they are on the SH3-DVD that I bought) and voilá, it runns just fine.

For the flag, well I already have a bunch of them but I dunno how to replace the italian one with one of those^^

And for subsim.com, I havn't been there for years. I just find it confusing to navigate there. Way too stuffed if you ask me.

I'm happy that now the game run! if you want replace the italian flag with german flag or others , you must open SH3 's folder than open " data " then open Textures folder and here open TNormal folder ; you will found " tex " folder and here 8 file.TGA .....The names are

7c_2_Flag_1.tga

9b_1_Flag_1.tga

if you open these files you will see the italian flag so if you want replace it you must have the original german flag with the same size 512 x 256

You must found the originals file in data file in CD of silent hunter3.When you will have the original german flag's file you must use this file to replace all 8 tga files open this file and rename and save it every time with the same names of the 8 tga files remember the same size ( 512 x 256 )Now in all subamrines you will see the german flag! ;-)

HI dizrupted well with order I start with the first your question The correct installation is silent hunter 3 patch 1.4b emea MEG3.0 -------------------- if you install this configuration I think that you will not have crash. second question Normally i play only with MEG3.0 With other friends I had seen that MEG3.0 is not compTIBLE WITH OTHERS MOD like GWX3.0 and WAC3.0 You must know that MEG 3.0 was made to play on line because the loading is more fast that GWX3.0 If you want...

@dizrupted to customize the music of gramophone you can open the folder that you found in the directory of your silent hunter 3 for example mine is

D:\Programs\Ubisoft\SilentHunt­erIII\data\Sound\Gramophone

when you open this folder you can put all music that you want listen in the tpatrol of your sub.

To customize the flag this is more diffucult the flag of Italy was made by a our friend that is a magic with photoshop

@onimischa You can try but normally i use a clean installattion of sh3 with only the patch1.4bemea ,after that i take the copy the data of meg and I past in the folder of silent hunter3

Remember now there is MEG3.0 !!

download at the link in the information the Meg3.0 and after follow the steps that I mentioned above !

and all is ok the game starts without problem

...Are you sure that you have only sh3 + 1.4b without other mod like GWX ? MEG is not compatible with GWX and the game crash!

thanks, it was the AA setting in nvidia control panel. i had to let the game determine the setting. thanks for the reply though. so it works now at least.

by the way, do you know how to improve the screen resolution i have 1440 by 900 wide screen all i get is the stock one which is kind of disappointing

You must know that Meg 3.0 final edition is a very big data file in ZIP format because is large more that 600 Mb and most of trasformations are graphics effects!Than I can tell you also that MEG3.0 was also created especially to play online and the loading of the missions is much fast compared to gwx!The video that you see here is the older version meg2.0!Try MEG3.0 and then tell me your opinion!!

Remember the all effects that you will see are in MEG3.0 so if you want install myMOD you must download only MEG3.0!

MEG2.0-ice is the expansion for my previous mod MEG (Mas Edition Grupsom 1.0)

Remember you must install

SH3 + patch1.4 + MEG1.0 + MEG2.0-ice

the meg2.0-ice as meg1.0 will be installed after unpacking the archive of data, it must be copied and pasted in the SH3 datafile without using the jsgme!

Yeah but you play SH3! As you know SH3 is oldest of SH4 and if you play without modding the whole game has a much lower quality of SH4, however, the strategic aspect underpinning SH3 is significantly higher than SH4

Only some effects are from SH4 ...if you install MEG + MEG2.0

you will see many more effects than SH4!
