Gears wins easily..lol..Indy Drake and a cut scene every minute gameplay was never a contender. The PS3 is for casual fantards and children's game developer ND made a children's game just for them. Gears 3 makes UC3 look like a launch title. :o
When I first played Gears of War 2 I was like omg this game is fucking awesome.Then I played uncharted 2 and I was like this game is great.I find that the cover system in gears of war was a very smart move and you couldn't go rambo anywhere or else you would die.In uncharted i felt the cover system was only necassary when you where low on health and I find i could go rambo most of the time.I find the visuals are better on cutscenes in U2 but not in game.Im not a fanboy but GOW2 is better for me

I have played gears on a friend's 360. I have to give it to UNCHARTED. Its by far better looking and the color depth is impressive. I have beaten the campaign at least 15 times and on the hardest difficulty, crushing. I love the combination of puzzles, riddles, with guns and explosions. I also liked the side quest of looking for treasures.
I've honestly played the Uncharted 2 campaign over 30 times, sometimes in one sitting. Its vibrant, funny, sad, realistic, action packed. Where as Gears of War 2 like 3 times, all i saw was brown ANOTHER BROWN LEVEL YAY!

@NDguy141 The unreal engine was used to make quake... it got two updated versions and there were two groups that both liked one or the other better. One of them is obviously today's Unreal engine and the other is the Source engine.

Uncharted for me always, Not a big fan of gears on the online nubbery that takes place on there.. I hop on Uncharted 2's multiplayer from time to time and it's solid, just needs a few tweaks..
As of writing this the U3 beta is 15 mins from starting in the UK, I can't wait to see what they've done to it. It was already very close to being my game of choice online....
the fact that gow is more violent doesn't make it a better game.uncharted might not be violent but it has better graphics and story and more varied gameplay which makes it the better game

i played both. gears of war is my thing. Problem was the online lag in gow2. when i started playin uncharetd it was awesome but after a while i just lost my interest in it. And i know its just me. cause the game is and stays awesome. For me its gow. Cause it revolutionized 3rd person shooters. Lets be honest without gears theye would be no the same gameplay of uncharted as u know.

Gears of War is a Great game and quite frankly the whole reason I still own my 360 seeing as most games on it I can play on my PS3 or PC. It really is a shame the quality of Gears has always hurt the franchise with terrible networking, poor weapon balance and wonky hit detection for its online. This really holds back the Gears franchise despite being the reason to own a 360.
Uncharted on the other hand is so polished and well balanced its hard to say anything bad about the game.
@Zain844 They planned to fix them in Gears 2 also but that didn't happen. I will say that the beta was pretty good I just hope the get the last few network problem taken care of as well as further weapon balance.
btw Gears 3 got delayed because it clearly wasn't finished not because of marketing.

Gears has awesome brutal combat and alot of violence and intense gameplay. Uncharted has intense gameplay, cool combat and a very good story. Gears has a really good multiplayer, Uncharted 2 has a good multiplayer but not as good as Gears.
Uncharted 3 will have a great expanded multiplayer though!

Having played both I can safely say Uncharted is better.Its so cutting edge in every way.The graphics are badass,online is fun as hell, vertical gameplay adds a different element to each level. Plus the level where the building your in is tipping is nuts. I liked Gears co op mode but uncharted has online co op games aswell. I dont like how fake the people in gears look. explosions and gore still look fake.

But seriously, it's an engine that has been around for about 13 years.
Naughty Dog really outdoes themselves every time with each new game instead of constantly selling the same game with new maps and continued story.
Sure, it uses the same engine and gameplay, but it's completely redone and so much is new.
Like, look at gears 1 and 2, they're in the same types of terrain and the story is the only thing that changes.
ND outdoes epic everytime in every way.

Uncharted for me always, Not a big fan of gears on the online nubbery that takes place on there.. I hop on Uncharted 2's multiplayer from time to time and it's solid, just needs a few tweaks..
As of writing this the U3 beta is 15 mins from starting in the UK, I can't wait to see what they've done to it. It was already very close to being my game of choice online....

i played both. gears of war is my thing. Problem was the online lag in gow2. when i started playin uncharetd it was awesome but after a while i just lost my interest in it. And i know its just me. cause the game is and stays awesome. For me its gow. Cause it revolutionized 3rd person shooters. Lets be honest without gears theye would be no the same gameplay of uncharted as u know.

Gears of War is a Great game and quite frankly the whole reason I still own my 360 seeing as most games on it I can play on my PS3 or PC. It really is a shame the quality of Gears has always hurt the franchise with terrible networking, poor weapon balance and wonky hit detection for its online. This really holds back the Gears franchise despite being the reason to own a 360.
Uncharted on the other hand is so polished and well balanced its hard to say anything bad about the game.

@Zain844 They planned to fix them in Gears 2 also but that didn't happen. I will say that the beta was pretty good I just hope the get the last few network problem taken care of as well as further weapon balance.
btw Gears 3 got delayed because it clearly wasn't finished not because of marketing.

Let's just say... Both are epic?
Gears has awesome brutal combat and alot of violence and intense gameplay. Uncharted has intense gameplay, cool combat and a very good story. Gears has a really good multiplayer, Uncharted 2 has a good multiplayer but not as good as Gears.
Uncharted 3 will have a great expanded multiplayer though!

@localSickened excuse me sir GOW2 is alot of fun but it does not look better graphics wise U2 pwns GOW2 in graphics and i love the gameplay of U2 better for singleplayer and multiplayer but that's just my opinion and i respect your opinion but i'm tired of gory war games they're getting pretty old especially COD but Battlefield is the only good war game i will buy i prefer action adventure/sandbox games instead of linear games but you have to play U2 it will at least change your opinion.

Having played both I can safely say Uncharted is better.Its so cutting edge in every way.The graphics are badass,online is fun as hell, vertical gameplay adds a different element to each level. Plus the level where the building your in is tipping is nuts. I liked Gears co op mode but uncharted has online co op games aswell. I dont like how fake the people in gears look. explosions and gore still look fake.
