Great song but the original unplugged version much much better! It makes your voice the focal point which is truly amazing! Video is fantastic but the video and simplified acoustic version together would have a greater impact!

I agree in fact I think she tried to stop the US release bc of it, and was about to go back into the studio to re-record, when the Island Records president left and she followed soon after.

It's a real tribute to Terra how many great covers this inspired. Notably Meghan Julius, Jay Brannan, Alex Smith and Nick Redmond's duet. ;-)

It's an old story: a spectacularly original artist breaking into the professional music world is convinced by corporate handlers and/or advisors who need to justify their service fee that to make the "big time" she has to jazz up her product with "production values" and add background music and/or vocals by other people. Some acoustic artists, like Bob Dylan, managed to avoid the pressure to do this until they were established legends. Others have succumbed to it and become part of the herd.

yea, i agree, the acoustic version was way better, it was real, the backgound just makes it fake and turns it into commercialism in this fascist country we live in.

but to Terra Naomi, You truely are an amazing musician, don't let anyone tell you that you need "basic drums 7" or "melody tune 5" in the background. You be you, and i your truely happy with the music you make, the people listining will be truely happy.
