hey i saw a mustang on the street, it had sting and carbon gt on the side, cant find any info on it anywhere online, wonder if anyone can shed some light
when i get my drivers license i want to learn how to drift in my car.......anyone know the basics of drifting so that i can pick em up with my own car at a track or parkin lot?
as long as you dont make my mistake and do it on the street. first of all, what are you driving? it depends somewhat on a stock car. I know very little bu enough to get started on realy basic stuff.
its not a shelby, its just a gt, with alota friggen mods. you can actualy buy the same crate engine in that car from fors performance. if i remember right its just a supercharged 4.6L. the shelbys use ford gt engines which are more than 5.0L. (5.4 i think, supercarged)

yea, if you pause it at 13 seconds you can quickly tell it is cause its got the shelby cobra in the grill and the headlights and body is the same as the shelby, with body kits ofcourse, thats why i thought it was a shelby i dont see the point in spending thousands on a body if you dont have the car
well the 5.4 kills, but the 5.0 windsor kills the 4.6 the 5.0 lasts longer, holds more boost, and puts out more torque, you can put more small mods on a 4.6 but for the same money you can get a few more in depth things and make the 5.0 murder a 4.6, my 94 5.0 has beat many 4.6 with the same mods, and i dont have any gears or anything more than the cold air, short shifter, and pipes
your talking about a stock block and headers and computer between 96 and 98 for the 4.6, i completely agree. what i like about the 4.6 is that the new ones are forged aluminum (from what ive been told) but what i do know its a 3 valve. also i like OHC and in the cobras DOHC better. I'll be getting my second mustang (96-98 in plan). for drifting purpose. when i finaly do engine mods (chassis then suspension first) i'm not gona put boost, but change the headers for DOHC.
shit almost missed that, no, the 5.0 does not last longer than a 4.6. (im talking stock block). the 4.6 between 96 and 99areseverly down tooned at the time because they didnt know its durabilty at the time,but now its been proven very durable and to last very long. also, ive beaten 5.0s with my 96 with nothing but KN intake and flowmaster exhaust (granted, maybe they had driver error)
and very possible that the ones i beat were due to the driver, alot is in the hands of the person driving, but ive seen many more 5.0s with high miles run the same as a brand new 4.6 and unless you add parts like cam or crank to a 4.6 they wont hold boost nearly as well, but it also depends the type of driving your tryin to do with it and how you drive, for my purposes ive seen the 5.0 hold up much better
hmm, well, there's a saying, to each his own. I like my 4.6 over your 5.0 and you like it the other way around, but yeah, ur right, depends on how you use it,mod it and drive it.
