  • I love Sarah Chang :)

  • Look at those bow hair fly...they just whip my emotions around like lashing a horse, man.....

  • GOO SAXOPHONE TROLOLOLOL

  • this whole concerto makes me want to throw my cello against a wall, sit in a corner, and pout about how much i wished that i played violin again. ):

  • @mynameissssjane I think that this violin concerto is missing something in the writing. I think the cello concerto is much more expressive and a greater piece. I am playing this violin concerto now and I wish I could play the cello one :P

  • @searay32 wow, you must be awesome ((:

  • Damn I wish I was a violinist!

  • @avilajonathan I very rarlely make comments on petty blogs like this, as I just enjoy the music, but I couldn't resist breaking it to you that you have a lot to learn about life, I mean, I would explain it to you, but I dont have any crayons with me, and thats coming from a 15 year old.

  • Played like the Shradick exercise)

  • Dam, this is officially my favorite part of the piece. Probably cuz this is the only part where Sarah Chang's agression fits and makes the song sound better.

  • Wonderful!...........Brava:)

A Technical nightmare...but sarah shines thru.

  • she prolly has like 80 extra nice expensive bows...lol thats right sarah!play with passion! rip those bows and strings with love

  • she have four strong bows. she talked about that in one of her interviews.

  • she has a very unique style of playing - i enjoy the way she plays the dvorak very much!

  • i'm trying to say this in the nicest way, but i think that when sarah play violin it makes her face look chuppy and when u see her in interviews she's really skinny

  • stop posting. get a life

  • love the way how she moves and plays. just in love with it.

  • Although she plays this wonderfully, I much prefer the cello concerto.

  • I hardly see how thats relevant...

  • Dvorak dedicated this concerto to Joachim, but Joachim didn't like the concerto, so he didn't play this. Well, I also think the Cello Concerto is more preferable... don't thumbs down... this is a fact. But in all romantic violin concertos.. I still prefer Bruch's.

  • It isn´t true. Joachim didn´t play this concerto, because he was too old. And learning new hard work, was for him too exacting... sorry my english :)

  • Bravo Sarah! Saludos desde Barcelona!

  • I don't like to critisize pl, esp. artist like Sara Chang. She is among the best violinists in the world.

I don't know those who critize her technique & sound quality. All I know u are not artist b/c the way u express. I haven't heard or see Itzark Perlman comments here. I think he & other great artists can judge her.

This is not American Idol, even Abdul & Simon many time selected wrong candidates.

Violin is the most difficult instrument to learn. To play this good u must be child prodigy.

  • u think i fall into ur stupid comment. since u mention ur a violinist which make me wonder what kind of violinist u r, "tinkle, tinkle, little star?"

  • Indeed,I played"twinkle..." 30+ yrs ago when I was a little child. About me, I don't have the talent like Sarah so I play music for fun, & I do play 3 instruments, & violin is one of them. I also have a higher degree in education. Enough said.

I never comment to any great artists esp. in music b/c I know I am not qualified. It is not my intention to challege or debate w/ u. I replied to u b/c u made a bad statement about me.

btw, I did try for UofW orchestra, but failed b/c no talent & desire.

  • sharing ur opinion is nothing wrong, but making a wrong opinion on a high profile person in the pulic u have to think again. unless, u r just another jojo youtuber. we all know Michael Jordan is the greatest basket ball player of alltime. Sport comentators & ppl criticized him when he had a bad day. I don't see anything wrong w/ her performance on that piece on that night. u mentioned about her sound quality & style. Pls, every musician interpretes music differently.

  • jaja

  • oh yeah you could do so much better. shut the fuck up

  • i like it a lot!! great technique, musicality. but her sound is sometimes a bit... pressed... but i have a great respect for her! this concerto is so extremely difficult!!

  • she actually explains why the sound was a "pressed" in her interview. search for dvorak violin concerto interview

  • tnx for the tip! ;-)

  • ...perhaps James Ehnes...

  • ¿Does she have a sound error in 1:54?

  • Moving the body when playing helps playing a lot, and it shows energy. An other thing; why complain about it? She sounds good right? Give her a break...

  • However, she moves when it is right to do it... Not like other violinists who just try to show their expressions by moving horribly every second of the song...

I <3 how Sarah Chang expresses her love for the music

  • well there's a reason sarah chang is much more reknowned than midori. even if she did break two e strings in one performance.

  • i dont really want to get myself into anything but . . . you cant say that sarah chang is weak. she's not my favorite violinist, and sometimes i very much dislike her style/musicality, but i still appreciate her as an artist, you should learn to do that too

  • yeah i do think it's a shame that midori isn't more mainstream. she really is quite amazing

  • she is amazing...God help me, I have to play this concert in competition, last year...:(

  • lol shes pressing so hard on the strings i keep expecting her to break one...she does break a bow hair tho :D

  • I love it. Her arm sometimes looks like rubber when she just moves it and not her body.

    AMAZING.

  • she is coming to singapore next year!!

  • take your stereotype out of the music stage please

  • i know right? how in the world was that determined? sheesh.... why can that person just enjoy her music... i do not have any of her abulms sadly, but i wanna go to her concert to see her live :-) shes coming to atlanta next year i think.

  • @hdunik amen who is the idiot I have to bomb out?

  • She was born in Philadelphia, accepted and educated in Juliard at age of 6. Not your everyday typical Asian violinist now is she?

  • Akiko Suwanai won the prestigious Tschaikovsky violin Competition. She is Japanese and Asian.

  • um, japanese is a type of asian...

  • I think that junevi2000 meant that there are other great asian violinists out there, lol sarah isn't the only one

  • @psychoof2009 except shes korean >.>

  • I love you...this is wonderful! thank you so much!
