as far as I can tell it's a Scottish jig called Athy Higjanders. But I could be wrong.

@synchronicitykitty actually, It´s the Kesh Jig. Flogging Molly adapted it very nicely into the song `Salty Dog` as well and it´s one of my favorite melodies,
