  • i used to work for vector and so did my best friend. I recruited him and he was under my name. My best friend reached the point of assistant manager and earned 50% of everything he sold. He sold approximately 70,000 dollars worth of kitchen cutlery. Since he was under my name, i earned 3% of everything he sold also. I sold approximately 17,000 worth of cutco. Cutco Is a very good way to make money but its not a life long career. it is NOT A SCAM, it just gives you back what you put into it.

  • My girlfriend worked for Vector, luckily she was a secretary so she did not do sales. Either way they were a fly by night operation. My bro almost got caught up in this, I called Bullshit and he cancelled

  • Vector lies!! THEY COVER UP THEIR BAD THINGS (like this video) WITH POSITIVE THIGNS THEY PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES TO WRITE. LOOK IT UP! THEY HAD LAWSUIT ABOUT HOW THEY WERE PAYING THEIR EMPLOYEES TO SAY GOOD THINGS!!

BAD DONT WORK OR LISTEN TO THEIR COMMENTS!! THEY ARE ALL VECTOR EMPLOYEES!!

  • Btw, the factory is the only thing that keeps the town where the knives are made alive. So think about that too. Without the sales reps, they wouldn't have jobs. Without a factory, the sales reps wouldn't have jobs.

  • @Hawke213X They need to dissolve Vector and sell off of their good quality knives in stores with comparisons to other brands. Welcome to the free market and freedom of speech. And if their factory can only stay open do to unethical sales tactics well sorry.

  • Actually, this video is very inaccurate. I have a training today and did one yesterday.

    1. They do not use the term "H.M.3."

    2. YOU took your list of names home, not the trainer.

    3. It IS a good product. Period.

    4. This video is OLD. Things have changed in the way they do things.

  • @Hawke213X You're welcome

  • @kkaramaree you can really create something great.

And for anyone who chooses to not come in to work because of a video like this, I'm sure all the managers across America thank you for not wasting their time.

  • @kkaramaree I've been working 6 months and at a 19 years old I've made more than the average American household makes in a year.

The company is transparent in their expectations of their sales reps. The average high school or college student hasn't worked at such a skilled job. It's not working a register or taking someone's shoe size. It's being given a platform to create one's own business under the guidance of incredible teachers and mentors who motivate and direct every step of the way.

  • I applied today and five min later I got a call from them I have an interview at 5 and I'm nervous

  • that and literally less than 2 hours later i got a call from a 'general manager'

  • i had set up an interview, and an hour before it i did some research. yeah, canceled it.

  • Glad I looked this company up BEFORE I went on an interview.

They are advertising in my area, I called & didn't get much info, but she wanted me to come in for an interview. I told her I'd get back.

Today another woman called & said I MISSED my interview yesterday.

I NEVER had an interview, but the woman that took my inquiry, also aked for my name & number.

That's when a red flag went up, I asked her the name of the company, her name, & that I would get back to her.

    What a scam.

  • They try to manipulate you too "well if you're a hard worker, self-motivated and want to do something with your life this job is for you. If you have no ambition, don't care about making money, and want to do nothing with your life this job isn't for you"

its the same thing as the "you either support the war on terror, or you are a terrorist" speech

  • @ikefootball75 lolol good one

  • I applied at this place and my story is almost exactly the same as the people who are in this video. I quit after the 2nd 8 hour day of training when they showed us the video about having the person we presented for call all of their family and friends for me

  • I was hired by this company and the best part about the job was my super hot manager..I was excited at first but by the 2nd training work shop I hated the job...they want u to call everyone u know and try to sell them knives.

  • @mr40ounce1 one of the female managers was dressed provocatively and flirted with me? Sketchy much?

  • I work for this company now ..im totally hate it .....n my manager is such a DICK !!!! im done with this DUMASS company!!!

  • Loving the comments. If you do well in the company then you have no soul, if you don't do well you've been scammed, if you were unsure and changed your mind by looking at Youtube then everyone's like "right on man". It's a sales rep position for college-age students that can pay well if you work for it and be disastrous if you mess up. Get over it.

  • I work for Vector Marketing, I'm planning to quit. It feels like I'm whoring out my friends and family, and pressure them into whoring their friends and family as well.

  • You dumb asses. If they told you on the phone that you sell kitchen knives now would you honestly be excited or want to come in for an interview?

  • is this really true? cuz i just applied online and called them to have an interview to the manager. well i guess im not going to my interview anymore. lol

  • @demonrok122393 lol same here, I called them and they told me to come for in interview this Saturday, I might go but after watching all these videos, I'm sure I won't go back.

  • Soo after seeing this and doing more research I WON'T be goin to training...A good ol 9 ta 5 will do just fine for me thnx..

  • Oh and what happened to minimum wage laws? I was PROMISED $15 an hour, then it turned into $15 a DAY when I called the manager out on her lies. Seriously? I made more money as a host at CHILIS in one night working for BARE minimum wage.

  • THey exploit young people to do their dirty work for almost NO pay and then they reap all of the benefits. Fuck Vector. Its fucking disgusting.

  • everybody just hopes they can show up and people just give them money.... You have to work hard, you have to go get it! the peopl in this video and the person who posted vid are most likely losers and will not be successful with a cowardly attitude. good luck following theses guys! i must be the 1 person in a hundred million that is very successful with vector

  • Its not a job people, they arent protecting you when you do damage to a customers home. its on you. and if you arent self insured, with a business license, you will be in real hurt the day that happens.

  • Positive Comment in here that state "i work for vector" "i worked for vector" .. that very statement shows that you feel you are an employee. Then why are you not compensated, protected, insured, covered as an employee. How do you get around the fact that you must report and pay your own income tax, SSDI, business license. tax permits for local governments, business insurance? Do you not know that you are defrauding local governments of tax money Vector Should be paying for selling in a city.

  • I think everyone saying negative things don't have ANY idea about the company. I work for Vector, I sold 2K in my first 3 days and I made 290 dollars comission off those 3 days alone.. and I only went to 3 demos, that's like 4 hours of work?? Come on people, if you don't like it, go slave over a grill at McDonalds for your chump change.. lazy ass people.. and your supposed to be educated?? In college?? Lmao

  • just applied and was about to make appointment tomorrow but after watching this and doing some research online I say fuck them!!

  • @7footballfanatic7 What research did you do? I'm not attacking you, but think did you do more than watch videos on youtube?

  • fuck vector marketing

  • I got hired by them yesterday and was supposed to go to training today. I was like fuck them and never even showed up

  • Just got their letter, which I immediately noticed gave no information regarding exactly what Vector did. Shady dealings. That letter is now sitting in the trash.

  • @StayFaceless same here!! The sad thing is, my mom and dad wanted me to try it out, but I was suspicious right from the start...

  • thanks for putting this out.

  • ha i just had my friend call me and told me they had 15 openings and that the starting pay of $15.. i asked her what the job is like... and she said she cant tell me, that her supervisor would call me and tell me the next day....good thing i did some research.

  • 6:45 that kid is going to be thoroughly disappointed.

  • It's not like you only sell to your family. That's just an OPTION (pretty good one) to start out. A lot of people have awesome experiences working there. It really is a shame that people are scared away from what could be a really cool learning experience by youtube comments. People keep talking about wasting time. Your time is only wasted if you agree to go to a job with the intention or expectation of not doing anything to earn money. Also, NOWHERE on the letter does it talk about hourly pay.

  • The people in this video seem so personally attacked and hurt. The company didn't MAKE these people do anything. So you were enticed by high income and then found out you had to work hard for it. That sounds...reasonable, no? I can understand that selling things to your own family has its ethical down sides. Especially if the product is kinda crappy. But for those of you who completed training and actually started selling and got to use this stuff, wouldn't you say it's a good product?

  • Didnt watch the video. just this phone call i got sounded fishy. So im reading everyones comments here, Im assuming PRIMERICA gave them my contact information. Fucking bitch who gave my number to them. Now these people are contacting me from another place suggesting me? phhht

Thanks youtubers for saving me the time and energy i wasted before.

  • FUCK ALL OF YOU WHO THINK ITS A SCAM. IM A SALES REP AND I LOVE MY JOB AND I COULD GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE MONEY. ANYONE WHO SAYS THEY HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WAS TOO MUCH OF A PUSSY TO BE GOOD AT IT. AND IM GLAD ALL OF YOU MORONS TURNED IT DOWN BECAUSE THAT GIVES ME MORE SALES OPPORTUNITIES. HOWABOUT DOING SOME REAL THINKING, HOW CAN SOME STUPID SCAM GET SO HUGE? THE COMPANIES HUGE BECAUSE ITS LEGIT. PERIOD.

  • @joedroz YOU AND THIS COMPANY ARE FULL OF SHIT AND YOUR NOTHING MORE THAN A PUPPET; STOP WHORING YOURSELF OUT YOU TOOL!!!!

  • Austin Texas Sales Rep, As far as the friends and family phone number exercise goes, it was mainly for the intent of calling friends/family/friends' family to try to set up appointments since after training, you're still a newbie. The mass amount of customers gained is through recommendations from those people. I can understand feeling awkward. I just got out of basic training myself (Advanced being on Monday), however, that wasn't its purpose.

  • I should have read up on them first, because I just got hired by this Vector company, now hearing about all the complaints what the hell should I do, I don't want to be scammed.

  • omg check out this video from an actual vector event...

  • Fuck Vector

  • So I have a question, i just got out of an interview with Vector, if this is such a huge scam, then how did they get so big? Like how can you say they are a huge scam? I think the people who hate them are people who can't sale.

  • @fussball20 lol, go thru the training process and find out for yourself. Bernie Madoff got caught for the ponzi and the feds think that it began around the 70's so it might turn out to be the same for vector

  • Im going to an interview tommorow, 99% sure Im not taking this job.

  • These guys suck dick

  • these fuckers sent me a letter today. Fuck them.

  • i got a letter from these guys today in the mail:

    14.50 an hr

    flexible schedule

    no experience necessary

    training provided

go back to school in the fall

i did the math, for not even full time, you'd make over $20,000. i just sat there, and laughed at how absurd this offer sounded

  • I went through the unpaid bullshit crap training. The people that are successful have no shame, no honor or no respect for their fellow human or they have a ton of friends and relatives with money to throw around.

If you work there, you will learn how to be a real low life scum business person who contributes nothing to society, but you will make a lot of money.

Although I must say the knives are pretty damn nice, smooth and sharp.

  • HAHAHA who sells knives for a living?

  • It's a travesty that Vector Marketing is still in business. I can't wait until the day until the Feds shut down Vector Marketing.

  • This morning I went out for coffee on campus, and on my way there I riped off/away every vector ad I saw. Dont matter if its On wall, or post. I feel happy doing that, knowing I would prevent at least a few people from wasting their time with this shit hole.

(been there in 2007, left after first week)

I rather use my Chinese knife that I had for over 2 years, still working fine. I would never pay over $30 bucks for a knife, let alone $300

  • Fuck Cutco KitchenAid is tha shits!!!

  • just went to a job fair where there were Vector reps. I straight up told the dude that I knew it was a scam and that I'm not an idiot. I said it to him with four other people waiting beside me. We all walked away.

  • i agree i work there now but even though i sold for the first time its just not for me

  • Duh. That's what the two hour interview is for. I knew exactly what I was getting into at all times. Guess that's why El Paso is just....better than oregan.

  • they post ads in our University, the ad had no information on it so i decided to apply anyway, the poster didn't even say it was a MARKETING jobs,...i had no clue what it was...then i did more research and more i became aware it seemed like a big fucking scam...

  • i wasted 2 hours of my life in the interview. I blacklisted the number and will not be going to the "training"

  • "The Office" did a parody on Vector. Michael Scott sold CUTCO knives. Free advertising yes, but come on... the office is all about sarcasm, VECTOR and CUTCO are a joke.

  • One thing every business ethics professor should encourage is going to these unpaid training meetings. I would use it as a silent test. Those who came to class the next day with a story about they got hired and purchased the set would receive an "F".

  • I had an interview today and they told me we rather have someone with no experience in the sales marketing and they told they rather work with college students. Plus now i got hire after i had my second interview. They really knw how to lie to people now after 2 hours of getting call back to come back for training i call and said i quit.

  • Seroiusly, the sales pitch is extremely low pressure. They say in the interview, "The point is to inform the customer so they can make the best decision. If they choose to buy, that's great. If they do, that's ok too." And, I worked there for a while, and people DID buy. More than I expected

  • I was sketched out when I got the job... I did my research and was more skeptical of Vector. But I gave it a shot. I worked a few weeks. And I realized that not only is Vector legitimate, but I love it there. I've made a lot of money... (I won't say how much, you wouldn't believe me), and have met some of my best friends through this. I'm a moral person, I want to become a human rights attorney. Yes it's sales. Don't expect to not sell a product. But give it a chance. I'm grateful I did.

  • The bottom line is that vector can be a great job or a really bad one. It really depends on who you are. Some people are meant to sell stuff. Others are meant to work retail. I started working there in 2000 and in my first summer I made $2000 and made some great friends. I proudly sold to all my friends and family. 11 years later they all still use the knives and love them. I guess I scammed my friends and family.

  • @dunlopbake looking at your account it's obvious that you only joined youtube so that you can defend this horrible company

  • @Drewcifer6789 In your eyes it's horrible. I never comment on you tube but I saw this and felt compelled too. What amazes me is that most of the people post negative stuff can't process that other people could have a great experience.

  • I just started training with Vector. Today was my last day of training actually. I know it's a horrible job. It's SALES. Of course it is made of persuasion & getting the most out of your family & friends. DUH. But- some people like me, who are desperate enough for the money. Who NEED the scholarships they do provide- we'll do what we have to. It IS a good product, & I'm proud to sell it, but the whole idea of using family & friends isn't cool..

  • Sadly I didn't do my research until AFTER I had scheduled an interview... Cancelling right now.

  • thumbs up if you lol at people who support vector by saying that it has made them a better person and has made there families lives better all from selling knives lol.

  • Any chance that some of the people in management were scientologists? This type of high pressure, devious advertisement is typical of what they do.

  • This is all bogus. I legitimately paid four years of state tuition selling knives with Vector Marketing with ZERO student loans! No joke. It's sad to see a great company get treated so poorly on the web. I hope people hearing or reading about this actually find out information themselves instead of believing what someone else says.

  • Vector uses lies from day one to brainwash their sales reps, and pressuring them constantly. It's always the employees fault people don't want to buy expensive ass knives?? or get pissed at annoying ass phone calls?

Pyramid scam, and only a complete piece of trash would defend this cult.

  • Keep fucking around Vector. You SAW what we did to the cult of scientology...

  • Sir, it looks like to me you got your feelings hurt and are concerned with other people's feelings hurt...which I truly admire. But falsely advertising untrue claims of what Vector can actually do for some is just as unethical as the claims you are making in your argument. It helped me, and I'm going to spread the opportunity to others who I believe could grow from the experience. Please get your facts straight though, people believe way too much of what the internet and news tells them.

  • I have done tons of research...that's why I'm discussing this with you. The problem is misinformation and assumptions. I don't understand what's wrong with a manager helping you get to where you want to go if you're an independent contractor. Like I said...most manager are jerks, but mine helped me a lot. People who want to get better at the job come to meetings. I just talked to a friend of mine who worked for H&R Block, and they had to do 8 weeks of unpaid training before they could earn.

  • but purchasing cheap kitchen tools from china over and over helps our economy? we have changed the interview to make it completely transparent, and many less people want to do the job because of the challenge associated. if you started a business, would you ask your friends and family to be patrons if you believed the product would benefit them? CUTCO is done through word of mouth sales (referrals) and its never a hard sell...you probably had a terrible manager...

  • @graveytrain55 No it's not just me. If you did any research you find tons of complaints petitions and lawsuits. American made products does not cover for all the unethical practices it has. Like hiring as an independent contractor for tax purposes and then having you report to and get your pay through a manager. Being an independent contractor and being pressured to come to mandatory unpaid meetings and training. Vector reps are the same as AVON legally but why are they treated so differently?

  • @graveytrain55 Hahah oh so by selling to our families we're just letting them in on such a good secret! We're not exploiting your family at all, no we're just so happy about our product that we just want to share it with the world. The only thing made more transparent here is that vector's managers have raided the internet like a plague of locusts. You really are nothing more than one of vector's pawns.

  • "healthy bondaries?" you know nothing about how thankful my friends and family are to use CUTCO, and are glad I showed it to them. im confused as to what you are talking about causing the recession we're in. I don't know what caused it, and maybe you are right, but I'm telling you from experience Vector can help people change and be who they want to. It's a catalyst. I think its good for people to expand their ability to do something they didn't think they could. Including great things.

  • @graveytrain55 This video is about how Vector Marketing recruits people by lying about what the job is. Hard selling a product no matter how good is the not the same as the power of word of mouth sales. My "Healthy Boundary" is that I will not call up friends and family and say that I am a poor college kid and that this is just a demo if my goal is to sell a $1000 dollar set and I will not break down my loved ones as income groups. Humans turned into momentary gains is this recession's cause.

  • @btcaulley no one is forcing them to cough up 1000$ on a kitchen set. In fact they don't even have to spend 1$ if they don't like the product. The reps get payed 15$ just for showing up which is pretty good if you ask me.

  • A person who shall not be named promised me 15 an hour for this job at Vector company. Then when i go there & in time i find out this is sooo not true. I have a family to feed, times r really hard cuz of this recession, I dont need someone feeding me glittered covered poop of gray. I need the straight cut truth & fast cuz I cant be wasting my time on something thats not dependable. Damn Vector company! I predict they will go down soon. No I'll pray it goes down!! And my prayers always come true!

  • I'm sorry, but personally I feel this company is a complete scam, they might do everything legally, but i feel there ways of recruiting is very ethically questionable. It's a complete pyramid job. Everything is done in a very gray manner. Nothing is clear cut in the way they explain things in the beginning and I'm saying this on a personal level, someone who has experienced this.

  • this videos full of a bunch of fags who couldn't handle a buisness job, and claim to have mis-heard things in the interview/training. grow some balls suck it up and do the job, if not then quit and stop whining about it

  • all i know is that i am working for vector and i did not have to pay for my sample kit and also my family and friends enjoy the presentaitons and actually will buy you just have to have what it takes to make it in the sales world by no means is it a friendly bussiness but i love it and enjoy meeting people and making some decent money

  • @LordOftheMind HEY:YOU CAN'T SELL, don't be mad. VECTOR is there for people who can SELL, there not going to pay you 16 dollars for sitting on your ass. YOUTUBE LIBERAL TUFF GUY, it's called DIRECT MARKETING, oh gosh did they make you make a list of people you knew *GASP!!!* did you break down and cry too when you had to make an appointment with a family member or old friend? 9:06 LOL Sorry man, this vid is too funny, no ones paying anyone to give u honest feedback 8:48 Business is business : D

  • They are shady. No scammers. SHADY

  • I actually had a good experience with Vector, though, admittedly, I am 12 years removed from the company.

  • These scammers are brilliant. There are actually a few smart ones out there. They know what scares people and what appeals to them. How do they recruit? Hello! $15 an hour and flexible scheduling for college students who have no experience. That's the exact thing that every college kid dreams about. Too bad it is not real. Plus the good money you "can make with Vector" really is not that compatible with other more legitimate sales companies.

  • @chasetrussel No kidding! Vector is undoubtedly the sketchiest place I have ever worked at. And they purposefully hired students who had little to no work experience so that we wouldn't know how shifty it really was. I was hired for a different job than most of the students, though. My job was to look through a fellow employee's Facebook contacts and call them, telling them about the job. Very, very strange.

  • @Abbytater That's crazy. They told me a friend referred me, and I remember thinking "Who do I know who would refer me? I don't have that many connections." Lol it's true they all are young, no one older than 21, which is how old I was. I was dumb enough to go through training, but not dumb enough to start the job thanks to the internet lol They took that long to pay you? How do they get away with this stuff?

  • @chasetrussel Oh yeah, and I didn't get paid for over three months after I completed the job.

  • @TheAction40 Then I take it you're one of those assholes...

  • Work and Play with Double Vision!!

  • Had an interview with Vector, got hired, did a bit more research, quit on the spot the day before I started the unpaid training. Based on the job description, you have to be a complete asshole to make any real money in it.

This video speaks only the truth.

  • @AwesomeSeb23 False and your stupid. Enjoy your minimum wage job ha ha.

  • @AwesomeSeb23 Same dude. I was almost scammed to go in today for the training. I feel so dumb.... I can't believe I wasted three hours in that gay interview.

  • @AwesomeSeb23 Got hired 5 days ago, training started the day after I got hired. I went home, went online and quit before the unpaid training aswell lol.. cheap bastirds

  • @AwesomeSeb23 Same Here.

  • @AwesomeSeb23 I just did the same thing today!:) great minds think a like!

  • I just recently quit after 2 miserable week of this hell hole! they denied me my base pay b/c people were part time not full time, in my contract it NOWHERE says they had to be full time - SCAM is all i have to say...

  • @cocotree9 Bummer that you were not good enough to do the job and had to rely on base pay anyways.

  • @TheAction40 Bummer they didn't actually get paid for the work they did.

  • @doormat4269 False. They did. They are all just idiots.

  • Just had an "interview" with vecor/cutco. They said cuz I had a brain I was over qualified. Or maybe cuz I played many clips of how big of a con artist they are to all the applicants and the "manager" went balistic? Hmm... Thank god I'll never know how it feels to slave for these idiots!!!!!

  • @420Diogi Your the idiot stupid. You would probably be no good anyways and just cry like a little punk like everyone else who cant handle it. Enjoy your minimum wage job ha ha.

  • @TheAction40 U have no idea what my salary is so how can u comment on that point? Good name calling tactic. Shows ur intelligence and maturity level. I didn't say I was over qualified. Ur vector "manager" did. Thank goodness he was cool and honest. O yea I'm a female not a punk. Bitch maybe but no punk. Have fun while I'm working for my awesome and legitiment not to mention well paying job!! Good luck at vector. Glad u like ur job. ( maybe a little too much!) ;-)

  • 95% OF YOUTUBE VECTOR DEFENDERS ARE COMPANY-CREATED, IF YOU LOOK AT SOME OF THESE PROFILES THEY ARE MAINLY EMPTY. VECTOR WILL BE TAKEN DOWN BY LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND ALL YOU CROOKS WILL RUN FOR YOUR LIFES FASTER THAN A RABBIT GETS FUCKED.

  • @LordOftheMind I just don't get why you guys take so much time to bash this comapany. All these lies give you what exactly

  • @stacbirdful The people bashing the company are helping potential victims that will get screwed by the bullshit scam. They may not gain anything themselves but maybe the sense of well being that they are helping others.

  • @maumau646 But it is not a scam. I don't get where people get there info but I've been working with them for a while I did the interview and the training. Now I'm working and I get payed exactly what they said I would get.

So that's why when I see all this Im like what the hell?!?

  • @LordOftheMind vector is a part of the bbb, they're not going anywhere fag

  • @jarret

their BBB rating is extremely low, I know you making peanuts for the rest of your life but hey, may be one day you can become HR department for vector and make $20k year, piece of shit.

  • @LordOftheMind maybe is 1 word... winner

  • @jarret what the fuck does the way he typed "may-be" have to do with the point he's trying to make? wow what a defensive respond I think the winner here is you grasshopper

  • @jarret what the fuck does the way he typed "may-be" have to do with the point he's trying to make? wow what a defensive respond I think the winner here is you grasshopper

  • @LordOftheMind

why does anyone who owns cutco fucking love it? pussies fail at cutco, and there are a lot of pussies out there. i determine how much i want to make...and provide a RIDICULOUS product made in the USA - which supports local economy. and CUTCO supports efforts in Haiti, Katrina clean-up efforts, Go red for Women, and was rated a consumer digest best buy. Work ethic and determination in America suck, and people don't take responsibility for their actions. enjoy target

  • @graveytrain55 Only the people with healthy boundaries don't survive Vector. People who feel that this compromises a limit in what they are willing to do to their own family and friends. And in terms of what is best for America small medial jobs that payout large amounts for small transactions is the exact reason we are in this recession. So Vector makes jobs where you earn a hourly fee or salary seem bad but really it is practices like Vector that stated this recession, pure and simple.

  • This company has been my favorite job ever. I am 23 and I thought I'd never be able to sell anything...much less knives. But aside from what people say about Vector, the bottom line is you have to work and work hard to get anywhere...and that includes life not just Vector. Vector has taken good care of me, I've made new friends, and I've learned some lessons on succeeding in life.

  • @r9tyndall That's great man. This is my favorite job ever as well. It has opened up so many oppurtuinties for me. I will be running a branch office next summer and will only be 19. I am learning not only how to sell knives, but how to sell myself which i will have to do the rest of my life.

  • So, why didn't they interview any of the managers, or the people who work in this business on a day to day basis, and ask them about these points these ex-employees are bringing up? You're listening to a video where people who didn't fit the job...talk about the job. Of course they are going to try to bash it, especially if they weren't successful at it. Vector Marketing is a great place of opportunity for a lot of people...just because it's not for everybody certainly does not make it wrong.

  • Vector is not a scam at all. I trained there and the product sells itself. Yes setting up appointments is the hard part but it's all a part of sales. I quit after a week but I did gain something more valuable and it wasn't money. There are certain skills that would help me in other careers. Vector's Cutco just seems very corny and irrelevant but if anyone would want to buy knives then Cutco is no scam.

  • Vector. Sucks. We had a (no joke) 30 second private interview, then sat in a room for thirty minutes for the others to come in for the "group interview." It took TWO HOURS to find out exactly what Vector was all about. It was so irritating and boring. The manager never even told everyone everything. at the end they wanted us to write names down, i seriously wanted to write "f---you! you fake!"

  • Exactly ha ha

  • @btcaulley I would have to disagree with you. I have just finished my fast start and i sold over $7,000. You have to work hard for it, but it pays off. I'm sorry you didn't pay attention in training and heard that you would be using your friends and family as your first appointments. To the girl in the video, they never said you have to make your customers call all of their friends, you can just get their numbers and then call them yourself. Sorry you guys werent mature enough to handle this job

  • Any one who is against vector is just a bum that is just jealous that they were not cut out for the job. Vector is an amazing company. I have grown in my communication skills, time and self management, confidence, team work, and of course financially. Everyone is so uplifting and enthusianstic, and the company is not all about showing you how to sell knives, but how to become a better version of yourself.

  • hmmm I'd actually like to see people who are against Vector Marketing explain why in complete detail. Then see the people who are in favor of Vector Marketing explain why the other side is "wrong" in detail. Then vice versa

  • The people on this video are just worthless and not cut out for the job. Pay attention in training and you will know what to do. You are all retarded. I hate when i read the Vector is a scam. It is the greatest job i will ever have as a college student.

  • Vector Marketing is not a scam, but VM operations teach young adults that it is okay for large corporations to exploit young workers by have workers target their friends and family for sales and recruit and making it seem like it's normal. VM seems more like a cult than a company. Sure you learn communication skills at VM, but you should get that in any experience that involves any kind of social interaction.

  • @soaringxh3n you have no life. you are paid by vector or one of vector's many employees paid to do this. get a damn iife. GET A LIFE! you have no life!

  • hahah you guys are hilarious. ive worked there this summer sold $18000 and made $4000 i believe around 150 tanks of gas and i probably have only filled up 10 times? so you may think its a scam. but it paid my bills :)

  • Still, there seems to be more unsatisfied ex-Vector recruits and harsh criticisms of Vector than there are supporters of the company.

One website blames the company for unethical business practice and scamming young students because they are “trainable, ignorant of corporate practices, non-threatening to potential customers, and don't have many other work options.” There are also over a dozen websites labeling the company as a complete scam.

  • People, do your research before getting involved with such criminals (Managers within Vector) and the scammers (reps) who make it all happen for them, which is admitted by them for the record.

  • If you people are willing to sell $900 knives by hasseling your family and friends and their family and friends, be my guest. No need to respond to any of my comments because I could really care less. Best of luck to you guys with this company of bullshit.

  • YOU-TUBE won't show comments on particular videos on my comments section. All being recorded.

  • YOU-TUBE won't show my comments on particular videos. All being recorded for reference.

  • Show my darn comments YOU-TUBE, in my comment section, for everyone to see.

  • Vector marketing sets a good example and reflection as to why this world is in a mess.Vector marketing, teaches you marketing as a lie. Standard knives last more than 2 years in most cases. At least 10, unlike there claims. LIES. Furthermore they claim on there website, that it's 16$ per hour and when you go to there interview, they spice is up with a 3 dollar raise, and lots of fake award claims. They waste your time and finally brake to you the truth once you get there about its not really 19$/hr

  • They explain exactly how it works after the training, if at that point you don't like it, then don't do it. it's not for everyone, but it can be a great oppertunity, that helps many kids get experience/money. All these people sound like they were expecting to just have money given to them with no work or effort. This is a smart easy system that has proven itself.

  • The BIG fact was the names list exercise: how many names can you write down in 5 minutes. After the exercise he said to go home and if you write 1,000 names down you get a FREE pizza. I wrote down 1,123 names in 2 hours. The DUMBEST fact was the 2nd assignment that he gave us on the 1st day of training (along with the 1,000 names assignment). You had to go to youtube.com Modern Marvels Cutco. On the side we're several links that said how big a scam Vector Marketing was.

  • @SexyJensenJaredNude maybe they gave you a test. watch the vid on youtube and see if you believed the shit said on the side bar. if so you failed

  • omg ok this is just crap. We were explained everything during our interview and then we went and did our training there were only 5 of us it was a small group and everything was explained to us in the first part of training. also as far as the having to contact all the people on your clients list is bullshit they only had to contact two people and the could get a free product.

  • You people are ignorant.

  • i got the job and i am supposed to be starting my training tomorrow but since the initial interview some red flags were raised for me #1 i filled out the application online and not even two minutes goes by and i get a call for an interview at 6 oclock on a weekend who interviews 6 oclock on a weekend? #2 my interview was only two minutes long and then i had to go back into a room with about 6 other people with shitty music playing and wait there for a 2nd group interview #3

  • Vector Marketing sounds like the Freemason conspiracy.

  • @VIEWTUBE00000 if what you're saying is true why did vector experience a growth of about 40% from last year to this year? the demo set you can return for a full refund at any time. if you arent a person who words as hard as they possibly can then dont apply for a job at vector, if you are that type of person, then give it a shot.

  • @greenbayalldway You really drank the Vector KooI Aid didn't you? As for me, I AM a hard worker but I prefer to apply that towards a real job that doesn't involve selling knives at people's homes, thank you. They keep clogging job boards like Monster with their annoying job postings and I truly feel bad for those that apply. There's no denying the huge amount of negative reports that are all over the net about people who went for the interview came away pissed off and feeling mislead.

  • @VIEWTUBE00000 wow, you really are ignorant. continue believe whatever you want I don't feel like fighting with an immature 18yr old about stuff they can't even comprehend. enjoy your "real job" you ""hard"worker". but you are right about one thing, there isn't denying the negative reports, but then again explain to me how a bunch of virgins on the internet claiming something bad happened has anything to do with any product vector sells.

  • @greenbayalldway Spoken like a true Cutco crony. It's pathetic how you troll the comments trying to defend your sad excuse for a job. How do you look your faggot self in the mirror knowing that you extort your own family and friends for $14.50? How does it feel to know that your "salary" is entirely dependent on how many morons you can find and convince to spend $1000 on B-grade knives in a recession? Do us a favor and shove those knives up your ass, Cutco cocksucker.

  • I think a good question is, what happens to the contact info you give to the company.

  • @DevilMayClarify contact info of customers I mean.
