Why do people rip on this game so much, it looks like a really awesome fighting game. Granted I never played any Toshinden games. Almost all the comments say that it looks boring and has bad graphics. they also say the past ones are better. so l look at old Toshinden games expecting them to be better and... WTF? If you think the PS, N64, and 90's arcade systems had better graphics and game-play than you are retarded. You are all the reason the wii can't have decent fighting games in america.
The main character is a Shinjo, which is the same surname as Eiji & Sho from the first 3 games and Subaru from the 4th game. I'd be really interested to hear his relation to them & any other characters in the game. In fact, I'd just be really interested in playing this game. The Toshinden series is really special to me because Toshinden 1 is the first videogame I ever played, and Toshinden 3 is one of my favourite videogames ever. I miss those days.

Okay screw this.....cant get past first guy in story mode....Just when I thought I was getting the hang of it the guy pulls out all the stops and starts doing supers out of no where and does some kind of move that knocks my weapon across the screen and YOU CANT BLOCK without your weapon and the guy is unrelenting xD so by the time I get back to my weapon I am about dead. Add in the fact that my attacks to SQUAT to him and its just frustrating xD lol I think I will upload my frustration...

LoL just finished downloading this. Its a COMPLETE button masher. "A" button is the attack button. "Z" button is block/evade. "C" button is dash. (Once you grab an orb you can transform (or you wep can, with some characters) and you press "C+Z+ to transform. You can also press "A+B" butons to do a guard burst (well thats what I am calling it anyway) to throw your opponent back. And thats about it.....~continues to play~

@a2b3c4d5 Yeah, Toshinden 4 never came out in the US (I own the European release and it's OK - better than Toshinden 3). To those who missed out on #4, they retired the 'old' characters and started afresh with a new generation (although Eiji does make an appearance in #4...).

As a fan of Toshinden Subaru I have to say I'm kind of sad how much this looks like a Castlevania Judgement clone. I'll give it a chance, but one Castlevania Judgement is enough.
I guess they're trying to appeal to modern anime fans with the look of this game. I just hope they don't fuck it up because BAT was too badass back in the PSX days

There was a little box out in the magazine announcing it mentioning that Toshinden has no relation to Battle Arena Toshinden.

some moves had no sound, no effects, or were completely mute.
i think the sound effects for the hyper moves need to be more intense though.
I keep looking after this games to see some updates.

Fighting Games on the Wii are mostly Ok to decent. I mean, BLEACH Wii is a very good Fighting game. So are DBZ Budokai and SSBB.
BTW, you can play for the waiting some Street Fighters 4 :D!

As a fan of Toshinden Subaru I have to say I'm kind of sad how much this looks like a Castlevania Judgement clone. I'll give it a chance, but one Castlevania Judgement is enough.

I guess they're trying to appeal to modern anime fans with the look of this game. I just hope they don't fuck it up because BAT was too badass back in the PSX days
