I hear red went to college to learn his language paid for by his tribe in exchange for teachin the youth when he was done.I heard he came back wit a big head and tried to charge his ppl for teachin the language and now goes around sayin he grew up talkin da language and gives no credit to his tribe. Dats messed up in my book!

Actually if you want to talk facts get them straight first. My tribe didnt pay for my education in the language. It was a language program designed to create more speakers which it did. Second, dont confuse arrogance with pride. I did grow up with my language, been around my language ALL OF MY LIFE, the language program helped me put it all together. My existance on this earth pays homage to my tribe...EVERYDAY by living as the best person I can be.

For one I've met Red at a language class done free of charge. & two He brought the language back to the people and helps them learn besides the many other things he does daily to help his people NOT for money or to be a Recognized, But cuz he understands the importance of teaching the next generation our ways of being Indigenous.. You know what is really odd? is that some people fail to LISTEN. For a professor of film critiques, I am quite disappointed. The cameraman failed to get critically needed close-ups, and the editing creates the effect that one has stared into the sun for too long and developed sun spots....
