  • ACI needs to make an episode about Eastern flight 212, like half the episodes this was a DC-9 crash...and It killed Stephen Colbert's father and older brothers

  • Aha.. Boeing747, a safe plane indeed!!! Maybe its time everyone watch United Airline Flight 811's near crash. It shows how safe the 747 really is, and how brilliantly the NTSB solved its mystery..

  • I admire B747 perfomance here

  • Nice ending to this one. I wouldn't call the pilots heroes but they did a did a great job recovering from the situation anyways. But had it happened at night (without visual horizon) they wouldn't have been so lucky.

  • 0_O

  • And why doesn't auto-pilot use the rudder?

  • @Anonymous52550 Rudder produces much more drag

  • fail at 36:19 you can see the mouse cursor on the airspeed indicator =)

  • hats off to the pilot

  • at 16:11 there's no nose gear

  • drew peacock (smosh) and bill peacock (ACI) had a little things in common

  • 747SP my hero!

  • Hey another China Airlines near crash!

  • @Elthehablo The plane is American made, it's a good thing the pilot were able to recover from two sudden descents.

  • It's a good thing it's China Airlines and not an airline from the People's Republic of China... the pilots would probably have 'disappeared' :)

  • This was a good crash episode that was really good to end on tonight. I like boeings more and more every day. And I think more pilots are getting to cought up in letting the auto pilot fly, airlines find that autopilot keeps the plane flying more gentle. So the fact he did take control when he did, was good, even though he should have alot sooner. At least for the rudder part. Good end for the night!

  • Pilot's fault for the dive, but a truly heroic save. If I were on that flight, I'd send the pilots a very nice bouquet of flowers once we were on the ground again.

  • did they have to advertise for Boeing at the end

  • Amazing. Captain Ho is a true hero.

  • in one word for captain, First officer and flight engineer: Heroes

  • I like the ending

  • the airplane should be a 747SP right?it should have a lesser length and higher tailfin. but why this is a NORMAL 747????????????????????????????????

  • @Mr757master THEY SCREW UP ON THE DESIGN FOR THE RECREATION, BUT YEAH, IT SHOULD BE A 747SP

  • the airplane should be a 747SP right?it should have a lesser length tailfin. but why this is a NORMAL 747????????????????????????????????

  • heheheh "flamed out"

  • asian drivers

  • DAMN,,,,GOOD PILOTS..THEY R THE BEST !!

  • this full episodes are great, thanks

  • -__- why do they not just put PARACHUTES ON BOARD!

  • The shit WENT DOWN XD

  • The guy saying "emergency!" sounds like Jacky chan.

  • I spoke too soon lol

  • imagine how much worse this could have been if the landing gear doors hit the tailwing or stabilizers...

  • i think that i would have died of a heart attack in a situation like that O___O

  • It's heartening to know that all is not necessarily lost in a situation like this.

  • This is one of the worst situations that I seen everyone survives and the plane is still flyable.

  • Though this was contributed to pilot error, at least the pilots managed to get the plane back under control and get it to a airport in one piece with everyone still alive. They still got in major trouble for their errors, idiocy and causing huge fright, but you can't deny they managed to get everyone to safety.

  • 44:56-44:59; Sums up the entire thing perfectly.

  • Apparantly it actually broke the sound barrier

  • Wow first time see front gear is locked while back gear is down lol

  • that was the most scariest roller coaster of my life if i were one of the passengers. goosebumps

  • goodthing nothing like that happens at philippine airlines. then all people should fly at philippine airlines since we dont have much accident that killed a lot of people indeed.

  • LOL. So NTSB is back 2 the old business of blaming foreign pilots. After all they r there 2 ensure that no harm comes to Boeing's reputation.

NTSB claims the plane banked 2 right because there were 2 working engines on the left & only 1 working engine on the right ! But isn't a plane is supposed to work only on 3 engines ?

A rudder is supposed to control yaw, but this was a roll/banking to the right.

Bio Rhythm, personal life is all brought into picture when non-american pilots are involved

  • @IndPolCom Yes, the rudder controls yaw. But the autopilot, couldn't control the rudder, so in order to compensate for the deviation from the route, started turning left, but that wasn't enough. So the excess yaw, caused the plane to bank right with the nose down. And that's what caused the spin. And don't forget, that the outboard engines (1,4) create more yaw than the inboard ones(2,3). So engine one had a great impact on yaw.

  • @IndPolCom Oh, notice the movement of the stick just when he disengages the autopilot. It goes suddenly to the right, because the left banking of the autopilot was turned off.

  • boeing mite b American but the fact the pilots are chinese makes it cheap.

pilots made in china HELL NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. they probably trained with bamboo sticks and soy sauce.....................................

  • this is a 747sp

  • Moral of the story: The Boeing 747 is by far the best plane evef.

  • NO,,,,,, the DC-10 was the best plane ever and still is brooooooooooooo LMAO they only crash and kill loads of people...... :)

  • @zootrayer DC10 would be cool if it were a weapon of mass destruction, since it would be good at that.

  • @zootrayer Lockheed L-1011 had more class :)

  • pp, just popped up like pop corrnnnn...no offense to be mean or anythin but thts line si funny :) glad tht guy survived!!!

  • 7AM waking up in the morning, gotta be fresh gotta be epical because that pilot is a hero :D

  • A boeing 737 is not good your crashing en your have low speed en your give more speed en takeing off is a boeing 737 not taking of : a boeing 737 is 200.00kg

  • The pilots were the saviours. I wish every plane accidents had this happy endings..

  • if that was a DC10, the tail would have come off.

  • @DLPBurke LOL and the hydroulics would have failed also............. THEY SUCKED LMAO

  • @zootrayer I have only flown once, and you can imagine my surprise and annoyance when I realised I was gonna be flying in one of those Death Carriages. Namely MD81. I was not very happy on the runway.

  • @DLPBurke If it was a DC-9 it would have just exploded.

  • @ciscokitty8 hahaha true!

  • @DLPBurke Bullshit. DC-10's are perfectly safe and you know it, dumb shit.

  • @AmericanAirlinesRule Yeah perfectly safe.... LOL

  • @AmericanAirlinesRule You are in a minority. Keep lookin at those thumbs up.

  • @DLPBurke But that didn't happen when FedEx 705 (a DC-10) was almost hijacked in 1994 and the captain nearly inverted the plane while in a dive close to the speed of sound (along with a bunch of other dangerous maneuvers) in an attempt to disable their attacker. The plane held together just fine and landed safely at Memphis.

  • @icemachine79 It didnt get put under these stresses.

  • @DLPBurke The DC-10-30 was a damn good plane...all accidents were the result of shitty mechanics..granted it wasnt as good as the L-1011 but it was definately the best plane made by Douglass/McDonnell Douglass

  • Like, for you,,,thanx

  • i really wanna be a pilot and die like this .

  • @sherilalex Thats the most idiotic comment i have ever read on youtube. You must be retarded.

  • @CoPilot247 I think he was being sarcastic.

  • i really wanna be a pilot .

  • Made in China.

  • @TheSportVision you know china airline is based in taiwan and that the boeing was not made in china

  • @dajasonyankovic yes i do... it says that at the beggining of the video... but every shit is made in china... who do u think builds these, chinese people in usa... retarded american

  • Analysing many aircraft accidents and incidents there is (Or was hopefully ) another human factor - the airlines failure in putting the pilots in the situation of being fatigued and not correctly trained (Re-trained) in aircraft control management. Of couse with fly by wire airliners we return to the pilots duty of doing nothing for hours on end. Except when the cow residue hits the fan we have many "laws" yaw limiters and many "fail safe" systems that all fail. back to the DC3 I say!

  • Comment removed

  • In retrospect...all the "should've" the pilots didn't execute is easier said then done. lol This was an excellent opportunity for additional training for pilots.

  • simply terrific flying to regain control of the plane

  • Even if the problem was homemade - the save was excellent.

  • Corrupted basterds, they just love to blame the pilot, as far as i know the auto-pilot can adjust throttle, so the auto-pilot could reduce the engine power at one side and increas it at the other side. So if you blaim the pilot's you also need to blaim the auto-pilot, and why didn't the stall warning activate?

  • oh my god...what a nightmare!

  • Thank You!!
