I'm a Michigan alumni/fan and think that many comments on both sides are BS.
Football is three games: 1) execute x's and o's, 2) physically dominate to intimidate, and 3) get in your opponents head in hopes that he loses it. MSU beat michigan in the first two. Nobody won the third (except for Gholston's punch).
As much as I don't like it MSU is clearly the better team. I just have to look forward to Michigan getting back to national status.

Football is three games: 1) execute x's and o's, 2) physically dominate to intimidate, and 3) get in your opponents head in hopes that he loses it. MSU beat michigan in the first two. Nobody won the third (except for Gholston's punch).
As much as I don't like it MSU is clearly the better team. I just have to look forward to Michigan getting back to national status.

Stupid Penalty for MSU... It was 4th Down and Michigan was going to have to punt. Fortunately Denard was unscathed since his helmet is 2 sizes too big. He bounced up like nothing happened and Michigan got a 1st down which kept the drive going.

@MrDlipp23 If the situation was reversed I doubt you'd be humble over the loss either. MSU played a much better game of football but it was overshadowed by extremely unsportsmanlike conduct. You'd have to be as classless as Gholston if you can't understand why Michigan fans would be upset about him trying to injure our QB and the other BS MSU pulled. There's a big difference between a really hard hit(which is all fair) and a late hit coupled with a facemask twist.

@oldjizzy OK it wasn't 2 full seconds, but it was after he was on the ground with the play clearly being over. There are clips of Gholston helping players up, patting them on the back throughout the game, but this is pretty bad.

@kinkeezie Well yeah. I even rewatched the game and like 4 plays after the helmet twist, Debard and Ghol were exchanging oppologies. Denard then patted Ghol on the head and then backside. He was sayin its cool. - But to hear all these pussy UM fans acting like SUSPENSION! and all. Is nuts. UM fan just wants one of our top lineman OUT for the Wisc. game! They KNOW MSU is atop alone of the Legends. They want this to bother MSU's preparations for a HUGE game. Same on Rucker thing last Iowa week.

I agree! The acts on the field are a direct reflection of the coach. This kind of classless player is why MSU tantrum's in the shadow of Ann Arbor. You can't bypass integrity and expect great things. I will agree that was uncalled for and dirty, Gholston should be suspended for at least a game or two. I don't think Dantonio saw the after hit pull of the helmet. So I hope he reacts appropriately and benches him, but calling them all thugs is ridiculous Gholston is out of control, but most of the others are not throwing punches and making late hits.
