So does it just produce intense heat to melt through machinary? When i clicked this i was expecting something a little more anti-personel. Is that what WP is for?
a white phosphours grenade is an explosive material that ignite from the exlosion, so when it explodes fire goes where ever the white phosphours goes, like a molotov coctail, get it now?
This took me right back to september 11th 2001,, the day I went to the grenade range in teh army. I remember them showing us the thermite grenade on an old humvee. Also old smoke grenades and such. Then I threw two live m67's... it was pretty intense. Then I found out about 9/11 at lunch. So not such great a day all in all I guess.
That would be thermite, you are correct my friend. Thermite gives off that visible slag during the reaction as molten iron (or whatever the reducing agent is) is formed. Should that have been a white phosphorous grenade it would have "exploded" rather than remain in one place because it is intended to throw small chunks of WP all over the area vs a thermite which is designed to disable machinery (AKA a jeep). -EJ
I didn't not know these things were real. I just like using them in Combat Arms.

It doesn't "explode" it melts through things, like weapon blocks, sensitive equipment, etc... C'mon people, read a book sometime.

No. They are not. Airsofting clouded your mind i guess. Thats an incendiary grenade(i think either using thermite or white phosphorus.)
