So far, the best fighter he's beaten by far is Monte Barrett, a fringe contender at best at the time they met. They certainly know not to put him in against a tall guy with a good left hand, that's for sure. He's improved, but he's still a good year or more away from threatening any titleholder.

As Diamonds little sister i can DEFINITELY say my brother shouldnt have taken this fight...he was NOT in shape at all! But he is a much better BOXER than Solis...had Dominique trained hard for the fight as he ALWAYS did prior,this fight would have gone completely different...Solis got lucky. You should watch a few more of Diamonds amateur fights and his first handful of professional ones...Look at the shape he was in and the shape he went into this fight with! Bad judgement!

Since when did physical attractiveness make any difference to one's ability to fight. Solis is patient, hits like a mule and fights intelligently. I for one would prefer to see a great fighter than a male model in the boxing ring. And Solis certainly has the goods to be not just a good but a fantastic fighter.

solis tiene un gran futuro en los completos pero le esta dando americanitis, osea enm cuba el congri (arroz con frijoles negros) y pollo le sentaba bien y lo mantenia saludable en EU el hamburguer y el hot dog lo tienen bien Chris Arreola digo perdon, gordo, y eso le puede afectar por que los tontos deben saber que el fisico y la condicion es lo mas importante. If Solis loses 30 lbs he could be a real contender. And if you have half an ounce of boxing IQ you can see that he has the power and the skills to threaten the Klitschkos. When's the last time you saw them step into the ring with someone with Solis's power? Ummm.....never. The brothers know better. They stay away from contenders they think could KO them. Kevin Johnson with 11 KOs? Are you serious, Vitali? Fight a real opponent. David Haye would KO them. So would David Tua and so would Solis.

However, Solis' skill in the division is only matched by the K Brothers. Solis is just not the physical specimens that the K-Brothers are. Their genetics and work ethic are hard to overcome.

@longrob True enough. But we'll never know exactly how good the Klitschkos are until they fight some Heavyweights with some skill. They need to fight David Haye, Povetkin, Solis, and Adamek. Those guys also have to be ready for the brothers. Povetkin was smart to wait a while and get some more fights and more training under his belt before taking on Wladimir. Of those guys I named, Haye is probably the most ready to fight the K brothers.

Por el momento Solis debe meterse en un gimnacio y no salir hasta que este en el peso en el que estaba cuando salio de cuba. Fuera de eso necesita un tecnico que se dedique mas a su velocidad y agilidad. Solis tiene un talento que no muchos pesos pesados tienen y eso es velocidad, si el logra recobrar esa velocidad ganaria las peleas nada mas que moviendose. Lo que me preocupa es que el luce como que esta tratando de pelear como Tyson y el no tiene la fuerza de Tyson. El debe usar su tecnica

Solis es pequeno para esa division, y nunca ha sido noqueador. por eso tiene que ponerse en forma y retomar su estilo natural.

Yo veo a solis mas rapido que en las peleas anteriores, y tirando mas el gancho a la caja del pan y subiendo el mismo gancho de izquierda a la quijada. Solis tiene buena asimilacion, yo no recuerdo que Savon le metiera un KO a Solis nunca en Cuba, y Savon pegaba.

Yo creo que si se lo tiran al ruso puede darle una sorpresa a todo el mundo.

señores, yo soy cubano y realmente quiero que Solis logre mucho pero seamos realistas. Solis necesita bajar 30 libras por lo menos. Fuera de eso, en este momento Solis nunca lograria una pelea con Klitschko, de echo si Solis logra pelear con Klitschko con el fisico que tiene en este momento no duraria 3 rounds. Solis logro lo que logro de amateur gracias a su velocidad y agilidad, las cuales ha perdido con esas libras de mas.
