  • I saw some guy do this at a circus. There was a really weedy guy who asked if he could give it ago. The dudes at the circus laughed at his and let him try. Took one run up at it and smashed the bat to pieces. It isn't that difficult, you just need to believe you can do it!

  • horseshit! I've seen a person wrap his shin around a bat.

  • I guess he thought the cars looked artisti, but they just wasted time. There is another clip on YouTube of a guy breaking TEN bats at a time.

  • this was cool but i hated the fucking cars..

    so annoying

  • Man if he did it in the middle part of the bat so that,s called Amazing

  • ok wtf is with the cars...its not that great any way breaking a baseball bat...it looks like the old phone dials are on the cars

  • the cars are so distracting that i didnt even watch it to the part where he actually breaks the bat.

  • justshow the karate and lose the lame music and highway footage...

  • Karate, the art of striking. Strike the cars, why don't yah.

  • fuck with the gaod damn edition fucking cars

  • its not the art its the person

  • for fucks sake will u all jus SHUT UP! it doesnt matter which martial art U think is best, everyone is different and instead of comming on here bitching bout other martial arts jus stick at wot u got and mind your own fucking business!!

  • I have come to regain a great deal of respect for Karate. I've also developed a respect for the more recently developed martial arts systems. The more recent generation has lost respect because they are into "show and prove". They have put aside the spiritual discipline and have become arrogant and boastful. They idolize brutality but one day each may find himself at the mercy of his own idol.

  • that sucked, cars are pointless in this video

  • kyokushin karate has fought and won against muay thai plenty of times. not saying it is better but it has proven itself in all major fighting events without the aid of any cross training. other karate may not be able to last in the ring but kyokushin is for real.

  • Keeping your hands so low is suitable for ANY conflict? Give me a break. I've seen kyokushin tournaments.

  • karate is for children. report immediately to your nearsest muay thai gym

  • karate is not a ring sport like muay thai karate is for self defense against assailants on the street.

  • what about kyoshukin karate? that led to the conception of the k-1 organisation.

  • Can't defend yourself with karate. It has way too many useless techniques. Shotokan is okay because it develops character as well, but kyokushin is trying to be a weapon and it's not...

  • JNana87, I'd advise against reporting to your nearest Martial Arts gym of ANY kind - it's best to check em out, look at the techniques (will they work in a real fight?), the way the club is run (disciplined? dangerous? etc) etc... some clubs are shyt

  • why dont you join UFC? surely if you can break a baseball bat, you can break a man's leg. that would be interesting.

  • Maybe spend more time sparring? I dont know.. it seems like breaking bats and boards is like elementary... apply those energies towards self defense and fighting, you might find alot more to do........

  • 1. beats me.

    2. makes no difference, bat is equally strong

    3. it's karate and kyokushin

    4. yes, you might qualify to be an idiot

  • nice job!

  • That was really impressive, I take karate too, your bro must be like a 3rd degree black belt than.

  • Awesome martial arts demo... music track is excellent as well. The music combined with the (admittedly random) traffic clips lends the video a nostalgic feel.

  • Sorry but you don't know anything. Breaking a bat is not easy even on the weakest part of the bat. Second shoes would not help you at all, you are supposed to hit with your shin not your foot, your foot would be fucked if you hit the bat with it.

  • Yeah it's not karate, looks more like Tae Kwon Do. Not my favourite art. Although if you want to know how to beat up wooden boards, poles, kick at 180 degrees to the ground, and I suppose break baseball bats, then it's the style for you.

For fighting, a nice hard kung fu style or muay thai would be better, or I guess BJJ.

  • rubbish!!!!

  • Don't care how long anyone practices, that still must sting like a son of a gun. Ouchies!

  • Well done!

  • is it actual karate though?

  • Do it baby!
