  • Oh Sch 40 PVC, what can't you do?

  • I want this video on my 6108 unit.

  • How can you know when you've reached the water table?

  • @TimThePlumber001 you have to stop drilling, let the water settle out for several hours, and measure how far down the standing water is. Or, ask your neighbor how far down his water table is.

  • also i didnt leave that comment to stop anyone from doing this, just please use a simple mask at least, i have close ties to the plastic industry and get my info about the dangers straight from the manufacturer

great video and im subscribed now, i have a great interest in well digging, i find it fascinating and have been interested since i 1st saw well digging through the akvo foundation here on youtube, they have great well digging vids

  • hope you wear a respirator or SOME kind of mask for breathing as pvc dust and fumes, WILL kill you depending on how much of it you inhale/ingest

cutting pvc is one thing, softening it up with heat is one thing, but grinding it to a dust is about as bad as you can get without directly burning it

  • This video is popular on Malta

  • @itostrong923v Wow! Thanks for letting me know.

  • How about pushing some red hot concrete nails into the end of the pipe?

  • @josephdupont I'm interested but, give me an idea as to how you would do that.

  • @dawmlw cut the head off the nail, hold with vice grips to heat, red hot not, just hot insert into pre drilled holes slightly smaller than the nail. Might work......

  • DO NOT TRY THIS NEAR THE COAST OF NOVA SCOTIA!

You'll get 5ft max before boulders lol.

  • Good stuff! I didnt think of rigging up a coupler at the end but just made a few teeth on the pipe alone. When the pipe was removed, the teeth were gone, lol.

I drilled 3 holes (21ft deep), T-ed them together and have had water ever since (about 4 years now)

When we drilled my friends well, we went up to 38ft but it was getting harder and harder and we stopped it. He's got plenty of water to irrigate his lawn, trees and everything.

  • Thanks so much for sharing! Very useful!

  • @dallasprepper It will never come off if you use the primer first.

  • How do you locate a good drill site?

  • @justdfactsmaam Usually, if there is water bearing sand under a site, it is huge. You generally can't miss it if it is there. My suggestion, given how cheap this technique is, is just try it.

  • thank sir for sharing the information

its possible to drill 200 feet with methods???

    thank

  • @greenfeld5 No, 35 feet is about it.

  • @dawmlw thank much for video and reply

  • Dawmlw - You DIDN'T make a video on how to make and install the handle for the drill. If you could make a video on it, that would be great. Thanks for everything so far. : )

  • Good point! In response to your comment I researched PVC dust and will wear a surgical mask in the future.

  • go ahead ... breath that pvc dust in. Reduceing the word population via higher cancer rates is ideal.

  • Sand, dirt, and clay, including hard clay. Sometimes in hard clay I have to resharpen the bit after a couple of hours. Can't beat the price though...

  • So, this is for drilling trough paper, right ??

  • Generally, a maximum of 30 to 35 feet assuming you are using water from two hoses. If you have a source for better water flow, you can go deeper.

  • On these home drilling project, how deep into the ground can the pvc go?

  • This technique isn't for everybody. It typically takes a little trial and error but it works. Sorry to hear you didn't make it. Best of luck to you.

  • i gave up ,well guy came and drilled for me

  • @joe18370: What terrain do you have and how much did you pay?

  • @88arau i have sand with shells and lime stone and tree limbs,i broke my pvc drill bit 2 times,i did get down around 38 feet with a dreggor and with 1 inch pvc the 2 inch only whent down 16 feet, the price was 1200.00 he whent down 53 feet and hit a hard rock or limestone,he was pounding it too.i would like to try now but i dont need it.

  • The one in the video is a two inch pipe. I use either a two inch or a three inch pipe.

  • what size pipe is it ,id like to a 4 inch one
