  • I know this is not the first time this song has been in a snowboard vid. It was on Technical Difficulties music CD.. I want to think it was in Transworld video magazine number 1 or 2. Does anyone know?

  • @nsayes13 No 2

  • this song needs to be on iTunes

  • The Art of Flight made a good song choice

  • @SS496BBC The whole sound track to that movie is great

  • This is where my name comes from

  • @IronCladBen it is on itunes

  • i really hope they hum does another reunion show this year

  • Could not think of anyone better to represent the Bubble, for it's diverse music, food, people. Everything. Great place, love Champaign.

  • HUM is the best band you've never heard of.

I love turning people on to them.

The music sounds as fresh now as the day it was recorded.

  • Easily the best Hum song.

  • God damnit I wish I could have went to that show in May.

  • Ahh why couldn't I have been born 15 years earlier. I mean I love listening to this music, but just listening to this on my ipod isn't enough anymore I want the real thing. I wish I could have gone to one of their concerts in their prime. I can't wait until the day rock is resurrected. Its going to be crazy.

  • if god listened to music, his favorite band would be HUM

  • they sounded good when I was 30 something. they sound good when i'm 53. they will sound good ....when I'm 64

  • Saw them for free at the Champaign Music Festival last Saturday, was right up near the stage, and talked to, hugged, and got a photo with Matt Talbott. One of the best shows I had ever been to, never thought I'd get the chance to see these guys live, much less, for free. <3

  • @SillyAlliMarie I would have loved to see that. Do they have any new music coming out?

  • @11rfpro I don't think so, unfortunately. I think they just got together for a reunion tour.

  • love these guys. tony's vid is awesome.

  • Hum was so heavy and so clean last night in Chicago. Truly an inspiration. Nice work fellas.

  • No one knows of Hum, they really have no taste.

  • @screamstereoscream ..wish I could be there! I'm actually just happy that they are making music again

  • just an all out rocking song. I love the way it begins, just crazy stuff, then into a hard rockin song, with a Heavy riff, good stuff.

  • ok..call me crazy, but this is my favourite album of theirs..."you'd prefer.." and "downward is heavenward" are great, but this album kicks some major butt. Seeing them play with Swervedriver in Toronto has to rank as one of the best shows I've ever seen.....and the first band "transistor sound and lighting co." were crazy good too. Transitor's self titled album is another one of the best albums no one has ever heard....crazy lo-fi headphone space rock...

  • They are playing May 31st in Chicago at millenium park.. come on down

  • @conservatory I WISH i could be there. God damn. I hope someone records the entire show.

  • @conservatory I was SO happy when that happened.

  • I've been a fan for 16 years and will probably be the rest of my life. what I would give to see these guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jenacyde79 I'll be seeing the for the second time next month...

  • the hobo would fall......

  • some space and a lot of trees

  • best 1 minute intro in the history of the universe...

  • roger that

  • goddam they had a good drummer.

  • This song still kicks so much ass. CLASSIC

  • i remember when they were touring with bush

  • they were touring with Bush? now that would be an fking awesome concert!

  • @91nickt oh it was. it was the most amazing sound that i have ever heard.

  • Que buen sonido, fabuloso

  • Why don't these guys get the opening slot on the MBV tour??? That'd be huge.

  • Oh my god that would be the best show ever. It would be better than the terrible opening acts I saw before MBV.

  • This is orgasmic :O

  • Saw this video on a local station that was very difficult to get . It was called Network 1 or something , showed strip competition tours , a cool show called WeirdTelevsion , and very early ECW . The music show , title doesn't come to mind , showcased such bands like Wilco , Porcupine Tree and SonicYouth to name a few . Miss the 90's

  • Me too..

  • nm, i'm an idiot.

  • ware can i find hum vinyl for a reasonable price?! No 1 will jelp me.

  • local record store, craigs list, ebay.

this video didnt work for me, by the way.\

    no audio, lots of freezing.

  • Does anyone have the lyrics to this song?

  • long live iron clad lou!!

  • yet 2 hear a song i dont like by them, sustains my sense of black-light depression, makes the world go away...

  • Wow the only reason i listened to this is because my sister has the lead singer as a professor at college and im sure glad i know who there are now!! i like it!

  • hum was great, listen to their drummer rip it, great video full of randomness that means nothing but yet so much

  • long live HUM!

  • my favorite hum song of all i do believe

  • Hum should have been on top of the world!!

    God I miss this band!!!!!!!!!!!

  • whats the spoken intro thingy supposed to mean?

  • nothing and everything

  • I would love to learn their technique for recording.

  • I've been playing drums for 10 years now and i can honestly say that their drummer's approach to the cymbals is one of the most interesting i have ever heard

  • I can't listen to this loud enough!

  • I hear you. ...

  • fuckin rock & roll...period.

  • This song makes me very happy.

  • I thought there early material wouldn't stack up to the later stuff, but god damnit I'm hooked on this riff. So fucking sweet! Hum never let down!

  • freakin jam!!!!!

  • A true sonic treat with unobtrusive heaviness that give way to unrivaled polish and "blissed-out" hooks = Hum

    BEST DRUM SOUND EVER!

TURN UP YOUR SUB AND FEEL THE FUCKIN MUSIC!!!

Horns and Hails for you .... \m/

  • tool+smashing pumpkins=hum

  • absolutely not at all even close to tool man ....no way ......... not a chance HUM's first release was in 1990 pumkins were 91 so id say pumkins are like hum and tool came after too ....... so they took styles from Hum

  • where in the hell do you even hear tool. Thats like saying Nailbomb is like tool...........lolhahahahahahah Its all good man how old are you?

  • I've been a HUM fan for 6 years and I can see where someone would make the comparisons with Tool in "Iron Clad Lou". I'm just thinking of the riffs, but listen to the main riff and the long instrumental part...could easily be compared to Tool. Definitely not on most of HUM's other material though...

  • dude I have been a fan since before they were on a major label. man tool dumbasses.

  • Great Band! very underrated IMO

  • ROCK!!!!! Love this band. I've got all of their stuff and it all rules. I've got to go headbang and play some Hum tunes on my guitar now...

  • you can download the video from their fan site..but u have to download the div player before hand

  • you can download the video from their fan site..but u have to download the div player before hand

  • Why don't you support these great artists and buy the song asshat?

  • the artist doesn't even make money from the songs asshat!!!!!!

  • thats a good idea how to kill someone. 4:17

  • This was a great album but I wish they would re-record it. I'd like to hear it all polished up. Although, I do like the rawness that it has to it. After seeing this video I had to do a cover of "I'd like your hair long" on guitar. Woohoo!

  • it's great to run into hum fans, been one since 93',saw them in 05, now i can die happy

  • loud, heavy, slow, great bored singer. Hum is the best.

  • I love this band so much, I've seen em four times including Birmingham Furnace, I dream of another show, met Matt Talbot at an after party in my hometown Baton Rouge...very cool guy,ROCK ON

  • Whoever posted this, thank you! Incredible! Never seen this video before but have seen Hum twice live and loved it. Wish they were still around.

  • this album came out in '93, right?

  • hum is the most under-rated great band of all time..its hard finding good, layered, heavy hittin rock where there not fuckin screamin all the time. maybe the tightest playing band too. you can tell all of them are good musicians..

  • I actually thought they were a pretty loose sounding band, but unusually tight all together. Everything is sloppy but also tight, it's undescribable and original, really.

I mean...listen to it...so loose...loosey goosey...but still tightly in time. That being said, hum rocks :-)

  • exactly..kinda like jazz fusion but rock.everybodys jammin out on there own instruments and together its freakin magic!

  • Hey Conservatory,I went to a Helmet show in Detroit on Wednesday nite and got outbid on this album on ebay. Can you burn me a copy of "Elektra".Name your price bro,I gotta have this.

  • It sure gets lonely at the top. I win, I win.

    Long Live HUM!!

  • Hum.. I remember the howard stern session lol boy they were pissed

  • One of my favorite Hum songs. They rock!!!

  • THANX 4 THE POST!- HUM LIVES!

  • What I'd do for a Castor video or 12

  • this is a balls out indie sound

  • Sooo many fond memories...

  • Hum were a great unappreciated band. Cheers for the post, and if you guys dig this, check out a band called Shiner.

  • thanks for the suggestion. Though, hopefully most HUM fans are Shiner fans. It seems to be the case most of the time. Are you also a Castor fan?

  • i miss hum, such a great band
