i did this also on my xbox.but when i ran the port checker it said my ports were closed also.which i know isnt true.the mw3 feb 3 patch improved my kill and hit detection alot.now i actually feel like im getting the benefis of port forwarding my xbox.

Your application priorities aren't working because you must specify a file name (ie iexplorer.exe) This is usually not an option used when trying to improve connection to a game console, more so for PC.

@veggie530 lol... hahahahaha... the lazy mans way is to simply do a static ip and dmz. skip the port forwarding. problem is some routers don't dmz properly but you can try it and see. lol.. favorite comment so far bro!

First, thank you for effort in the video.  Everything you listed were my initial settings. Ports forwarded, static ip, QOS, DMZ, etc. Still lagged. The only change I've made was lowering the QOS priority to low/lowest. Seemed to work for me.

@cadking000 as stated before, everyones networks are different, if you found a way to tweak it and it works, stick with that broski!

@deanini7 out of all the games you play the average person hosts a handful of times. host shifts aroound when players come and go etc. on the games where you don't host you are destroying your own connection on your own.. lol it's the dumbest thing I have ever seen people do in all the cod games.. also host is region specific.. you can have the fasted connection in the room, but not be host because someone else has a strong one and is closer to most players

how does this help lag compensation?... And getting host on mw3 isnt always the best thing to have in the game. as i find thats when the compensator is at its worst for my anyways.

@TheJDoubleD ... you shouldn't have stopped .lol.. you can still port forward and DMZ with a wired and wireless mixed network. you just cant do the QOS, which is an added bonus for those that run a pure wireless network. You will still see a large improvement in a wired connection with the first two areas

Lol all that for a better connection here is an easy help if u notice ur network slowing unplug the router and plug it back in forcing it to refresh itself

this dont work for all routers. considering i run fiber optics. and its totally different. also people should know if you directly connect into your router. not wireless, they can type in there ip addy into windows explorer and you will log into your router and change the ports that way. its alot easier that way. even if its strict. you just change two ports.

This only helps you remove the "strict" or "moderate" NAT so you don't have issues connecting to other people. It will not and does not influence your actual speeds nor will it make you better at COD.
