no, i think everything is covered in plastic, because Scarlett is an artist. She loves music and art, and her biggest fear, is that all the content of the world will be taken out (art and music being the content) thats why everything was covered.
i don't think we'll or anybody else would ever understand this game its so damn weird too understand and by the way that growling sound is the wolf dude
does anybody know more games like this cos i kinda have a fetish for this kinda shiz Baring in mind i have already played dear esther, korsakovia, the graveyard and others by tale of tales an the chinese room. thinking of buying fatale. thanx let me know if u have any ideas
@nevasoft2k7 You should check out Yume Nikki. It's one of those kind of games where the storyline is pretty much left up to interpretation. There's very little dialogue and the only character with an official name is the main character, a little girl called Madotsuki. Basically, you go to bed and explore her messed up dream world and search for the 24 effects, which as things like Bicycle, Long Hair, Knife, etc. It's pretty trippy.
I think the 'jars' (which might be glasses?) on the floor represent how she felt pressured to do everything right, whether by herself or outside influence. Think of the expression 'walking on eggshells'. I think the plastic covering shows how she herself is restricted by pressure, though I'm not sure from where it comes; her or authority?
@Haeronthegreat Maybe this is because when I played as her, I found the syringe, but I thought that they were pill bottles. And because everything was really trippy in the house, with it all green and everything.
Lots of the images have strange markings/colors over Scarlet's eyes.
I think something happened to have the piano teacher pull her eyes out. With needles, possibly, represented on her hands. Or used her normal-but-sharp fingernails to dig her eyes out, giving her fingers needlelike appearances in Scarlet's... pre-death hallucination?
I don't think any of the girls *did* die, as many have thought. After all, at the main site it said this is a story of 'growing up'. Hence I think all the girl's outcomes depict how their experience has made them grown up.
For Scarlett here I get the feeling she led a very orderly and boring life(the cups in rows), being a mother to her sisters all her life.
The bubble wrap symbolizes how she is always careful not to break any rules or do anything she isn't supposed to.
Personally, I think the covering of the furnature symbolizes how 'artless' her life is, since she has to be the adult. If you notice, she says that she cannot live without art, yet everything that deals with art in the house (the television, furniture, even the paintings) is covered. She probable feels dissapointed that she cannot be in touch with her passion because life is in the way.
A quote from the Steam description: "There is one rule in the game. And it needs to be broken. There is one goal. And when you attain it, you die. Six sisters live in an apartment in the city. One by one their mother sends them on an errand to their grandmother, who is sick and bedridden."
I like conclusions you've drawn from this, but it's also about temptation and deception, and how it can get you killed. Pretty much the moral original Red Rinding Hood's story right there.

Well it explains on the website she's like a mother to all her sisters so maybe that was her mum, but the wolfs illusion. What I'm trying to say is maybe her mum taught her to play piano and the wolf knew that and tricked her into her death.
=^.^= awesome play through haha enjoying this

At 2:08, you can see Super Smash Bros' symbol on the floor. The developers must really like that game.

That just the light coming in through the window. It's just happens to look like the Super Smash Brother's symbol.
