Whenever I try to change the name to put .MPEG it doesn't show .VOB. But if I put in .MPEG, the file comes out to .MPEG.VOB

i have problem i too have a sony handcam. so wen i put it on my external hardive/usb the format is .mpg. i have some vids that are .vob from another electronic. the .vob doesnt not work when i plug in my usb/external hardive into my tv. so i need a software to change .vob to .mpg that actually works!!!!

Sorry, this doesn't work with my DVD. When I try to copy a VOB file from a DVD, I get a Copy Protection Error (Sector Is Encrypted).

@jayfey77 Instead of having to go through the whole ordeal of conversions. You can download Nero (Free trial) and burn your AVI files onto DVDs seamlessly.

@SavageSasuke888 It's normal. Large VOB files usually do that. Maybe they will fix this bug on a later update or version. But for now it's completely normal.

@SavageSasuke888 Try using a different video encoder or update the one you have and try converting a small video file so you know those codecs work before doing the large VOB files after the update and/or different encoder.

@ahrocky it does work. the only thing that could be the problem is your video/audio codecs and/or your video/audio file itself. Try updating your codecs and make sure your file isn't corrupt.

FYI - You could use Oxelon to directly convert VOB to AVI. You could skip the whole MPEG conversion but I like to review my video before converting it to a editable file.
