Nghe bài này từ hồi 7-8t gì đó, mà hồi xưa biết “Đừng xa em đêm nay” nghĩa j đâu, chỉ biết rằng 10 mấy năm trước khi mới nge đã kết cái điệu ghi ta mở đầu và tới khi biết chuyện thì mới thấy ý nghĩa quá tuyệt vời

em với anh đã nghe bài hát này tại 1 quán cà phê ngõ nhỏ tại quận 2, anh không chăm chú nghe vì anh không phải lắng nghe tiếng đêm, nghe nhịp đập con tim nhưng em thì vô cùng buồn vì em không bao giờ muốn rời xa anh... nhưng không bao giờ em cho phép mình nói "đừng xa em" với anh... vì anh không phải là của em.

It's very difficult to be simple but also eloquent. Duc Huy is one of the very few people who can do that. Lyrics from Jimmi JC Nguyen and the latter Vietnamese generation lyrics are so STUPID, it's awful. Duc Huy is the last-greatest, young Vietnamese musician. Lyrics from Pham Duy are Trinh Cong Son are too complex, while the ones from Lam Phuong, Ngo Thuy Mien, etc.. are border line between complex and simple. Only Duc Huy's lyrics are simple but eloquent.

@Josiephiphi I'm glad you share my view. I started listening to Duc Huy's music (Yeu Em Dau Lau, De Quen Con Tim, etc.) as a teenager in America. My Vietnamese actually proved drastically because of it. Thereafter, I "upgraded" to Tran Thien Thanh (Lau Dai Tinh Ai, Nguoi Yeu Cua Linh, etc.) music, but stopped at Trinh Cong Son and Pham Duy's. It was liking learning a new language.

That is so true. DucHuy's lyrics are the best! A good song should bring a strong message to audience when first heard not containing so many metaphors that confuse audience and make them wonder what this song is about.
