Sir, thank you for taking the time to make this very helpful video. Systematic & very professional. I have been motivated to actually fly this beautiful plane. Something I thought was too difficult. I have watched all three and they are amongst my favorite on youtube.
nice video can i ask what SOP's you are using because i dont want to be a bore but i have found some faults for example when you set up the MCP you put the A/T in and select a roll mode usually LNAV also you dont put in the VREF speeds on the ground as that will give you a Vref at that weight which will be wrong when it comes to landing as you will have burnt off fuel...these are boeing Sop's but obviously varies between airlines
Hi, thanks for the comment. It is an ex-official SOP from an European airline which I will not name (I don't want any troubles like how the paper was handed over to me etc.) The SOP was created in 2006. Yes, procedures may vary.
Fair enough but its just weird why they would select the approach speeds on the ground because it would be in accurate plus if you get an engine failure you would plan for a flap 15 landing
Great video, helped me alot! (5/5* ) but maybe you can make an video about landing procedures?! I also own the PMDG 747 wich I love and The ILS landings go great but with the 737 they wont work!
Hi. The simulator is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight (AKA FS9). The airplane was released by PrecisionManuals Development Group (AKA PMDG). I bought FS9 in box a few years ago, and I purchased the aircraft from precisionmanualsDOTcom. FS9 can be purchased online as well, I'm sure.

Hi, I used your 737 tutorial videos as my guide. It was awesome!
I just had a quick question. How did you add the range rings to the map mode on the navigation display?
chenhenry359 11 months ago
@chenhenry359 Thanks. As you can see at 0:32, the rings can be set on the EFIS control panel.

@The12rspc Wikipedia has a fine article on this subject. Search for 121.5 guard frequency

Hi,
Great video, really useful.
Do you get the problem of your default FS key commands not working when using this plane.
I installed it and I had to click everything, even ALT didn't bring the menu bar up.
Please help.
DominoFaz 2 years ago
Hi, thanks. My key commands are working all the time - your issue is completely new to me... maybe others? Try searching forums via Google.

I think I solved it, I also have the PMDG 747 and I did not follow their installation order.
I installed the 747 then 737, it is supposed to be the other way around.

When they file the pre-flight briefing form, they also write down all the estimated V-speeds, including planned Vref.

I use a simple module which can be found in the FSInn software. I think there are other addons as well.
rennes6 3 years ago
I was wondering if you could tell me what flight simulator this is please?
scotlandsthebest 4 years ago
Hi, it's Microsoft Flight Simulator 9.
rennes6 4 years ago
Is that the latest one?
scotlandsthebest 4 years ago
No, the latest is FSX.
rennes6 4 years ago
Cheers for your help. I was thinking of getting a flight simulator but did not know which was the latest one as there is quite a few.
scotlandsthebest 4 years ago
Check the hardware requirements carefully... I suggest a E6850 for FSX. Eats like a beast.

Okay, thanks for the help.
