@shadow2501 It's a big fail if it was a longer shot scene of that sword and you can clearly see it breaks and then the next scene see it normal as a whole sword again.

Here you can't really tell, it's a fast shot of the sword hitting the statue.

I never noticed it in the cinema nor on dvd.

these little things will pop up in loads of movies after watching them over and over again but they ain't fail if it isnt really noticable like a car in the background in the movie Ben Hur, now that's a fail!
