Anyway, I don't mean to harp on you. I am thankful for these posts and do find them interesting. I also love it when you report from what are believed to be the actual sites. Nice job.
Another nice video; thanks. BUT... I realize you guys are mostly devout Christians, but I was hoping for a little more unbiased scholarship. The Gospel of John has been one of the most tampered-with texts of the NT: the Johannine comma, the adulterous woman, etc. Even the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus was most likely fabricated, as the double-entendre of 'born again' ('gennathei anothen) works only in Greek. You guys offer no criticism at all. You're simply telling the stories.
@dookdawg214 I've watched probably not even quite half of the bibledex videos, and many of them do take time to comment on questions of the source, etc. I think it's important to keep in mind that these short videos aren't trying to be, nor could they be, comprehensive, and if they left out juicy bits about the history of the text, it was more because they wanted to focus on other things--like the unusual amount of site-specific footage this one had--in the short time available.
@dookdawg214 hi - u have prob forgotten this post, but can u point me in the right direction to find out about the veracity/authenticity or otherwise of Gospel of John - I'd be quite interested to read up on it. Thanks.
