The 250 will rev to about 22,000 rpm and my 400 15,000 rpm & i guess the top speed & acceleration is slower but they are still good bikes.

Hi you need a 27mm socket on a power bar to undo the spindle nut. If your spindle is stuck cuz of rust & lack of routine maintenance, then you will have to drive it out with a long bolt, etc.

Make sure you grease the spindle before you put it back together, to prevent it happening again.

Hi I would say get the CBR lol but I think the ZXR is faster & has better forks. You will have to test ride them all I guess. I only rode a FZR but didn't like it......felt dated next to my CBR.

Good choice....yeh it was the rev limiter......mine did 80 000 miles then went bang . As long as you keep changing the oil & filter about 3-4 times a year you should be fine.

Just rag it in 1st & 2nd as some have problems jumping out of those gears but not had any gearbox trouble with any of mine.

Yes it's bad for the bike lol so don't do it on a minter. I was working at a bike breakers at the time & had lots of spare parts for my bike. If you still want to do it,then at least take off most of the plastics & get some spare bars,levers,foot pegs & hangers.....Oh & wire the cooling fan up to a switch. This will help cool the engine at low speeds.
