Im still itching to get into Rcing now that its come to this, but what scares me is what ranges are we talking about (remote/signals?) I would be afraid Id forget I wasnt really behind the wheel (up there in the plane), and would just keep flying until its too-late? Out of sight out of range kind of thing? There's a live feed of the video to the pilots VR goggles. Same goes with the camera movement, come from the pilots head movements (who is on the ground)

he should trry to find the precise thorttle setting so the prop appears stationary to the camera (every nth the prop blades are horizontal, the camera takes a frame. look for helicopter flying blades not spinning on youtube to see a better demo of it

it might be a camera mounted on a servo, and controlled by a seperate transmitter. but when the camera moves, the plane usually turns, so the servo may be connected to the rudder output on the planes reciever. it doesnt turn sometimes cuz he uses the airlerons to counteract the rudder's efect.

its not. The pilot is probably using something like a fly cam one or something similar with a proportional rotating camera mount.

He mounted a small FPV camera on a servo and attached it behind the prop. He can control the camera from the remote. That was amazing though. It takes skill to build, fly, and record that well.

It's a head mounted VR goggles connected to a servo in the plane. So when you turn your head down on the ground, the camera turns in the plane. Awesome.

well, what about attacking birds from the back?i think, it would be safer to have a second camera to have the back clear from birds in pursuit.just in case a bird will attack, you could do some manouver and speed away.happy flying.very nice video.

There's some really impressive r/c plane vids on here,but the best are the ones with cameras on the craft themselves. Yours would score the highest in altitude to date! Great stuff. You should come to Australia and fly around the Sydney Opera House and Harbour... that'd be cool too! 8-)

It's a camera controled by VR goggles on the pilot on the ground. So you see the video feed live while flying in th goggles, like sitting in the plane. Just realized it isn't mentioned anywhere in the video.
