I would like to ask my Muslim Brothers and Muslims not to net pick and focus on the substance of Islam. You are doing great, Masha Allah. Keep it up and may Allah bless you and support. I was born into Muslim family and I think most of the New converts seem to apply Islam and emby its spirit more than most born Muslim, who bring alot of cultural and traditional package. Dawah by example is the way of the Prophet.
For me the simple dawah is the good example from yourself. It will show the best picture of Islam for the non muslim. Be nice to your parent and other people. Our prophet Muhammad pbuh is a good example. although he was humiliated and hurt by non muslim, but he still smiled and eventually they embraced Islam. Someday people will come to you and ask many question about Islam. Answer the question nicely based on your knowledge only. Bring them to right person to study Islam :P
Some people make a mistake and think they guide people,they think is when you come with a strong argument and make a good point than people will come to Islam.This is so wrong because the strongest arguments were made by Allah in the Quran and still a lot of people knew it is the truth and yet rejected it.
Our task is to deliver the message in a wise way and it's Allah subhanahu wa ta3a la who guide.
Never forget Dawah without proper knowledge (know the evidence, interpretation, fiqh..) that's really dangerous: in addition to the previous verse (7/33), an other one approximative translation:
And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: "This is lawful and this is forbidden," so as to invent lies against Allâh. Verily, those who invent lies against Allâh will never prosper. (116) A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment. (16/117)
Plz dnt use this word convert as u r nt a convert bt a revert to islam as everyone is born muslim bt thn they convert to other religions as they grow old..and ALLAHUALAM
@adisam12 I know that from an Islamic standpoint, all people are born Muslim then differ when they get older.. so yes that does mean I'm a revert. However, I use the word "convert" for clarification so that people dont think I left Islam intentionally then came back
Al-'Isrā' [17.15] .... And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never would We punish until We sent a messenger (to give clear message)
I think most Muslims will go to hell because they failed to be a messenger, to comprehend and give true message to non-Muslims about Islam.
Most Muslims will go straight to hell before going to heaven, but most Non-Muslims on the other hand will be given another test in the hereafter because they never received clear message about Islam.

@mbarnabeus Let's say a person live in an isolated place, say some weird tribal village in Nepal or some weird country, and they never heard of Islam. Not once in their lifetime.

Dawah is the first and foremost way of introducing one to Islam, even in the slightest form of smiling, you are making dawah. I love the idea of bringing a friend for a visit at the mosque or having them fast with you for a day.
