And you dont need evasive manoeuvres to dodge them? And guided missiles, especially AIM models are not that great. R73 probably is the only missile that one can't fool or dodge. There will be years before the need for high skill flying would become unnecessary.

The chance of actually getting into the kind of dogfight where acrobatics are of any use is so low, it almost doesn´t exist.

It also doesn´t help you destroy anything in a BVR fight. As to where I get my knowledge? Any fucking combat pilot flying a modern fighter craft acknowledges that dogfights are something that only happens if things go terribly wrong.

Yes I know that Yevgeny Frolov was the first that took the Su-37 serialled 711 to sky. It was very impressive at Farnborough 1996 and at MAKS 1997. But Su-37 crashed in 2002, if I am not mistaken !!!!!



Besides all the philosophy of Su-37 was implemented in Su-30MKI & Su-30MKM. Moreover Su-35BM serialled 901 is going to be absolutely awesome!! Have you seen Su-35BM serialled 901? It was displayed at MAKS 2007.

Eugeny Phrolov piloted many types of the aircrafts by Sukhoy: SU-24, SU-25, SU-30, SU-35. He set up several world records on SU-27. It was on SU-37 that Eugeny fulfilled the transcontinental non-stop flight to South America. Phrolov took part in lots of international aircrafts ehibitions.
